Professional Experience
• Currently working with Amrita Enterprises Pvt. Ltd, promoters of noted
South Indian Television channel “Amrita TV” as General Manager
since 2011.
Amrita TV is established in April 2005 as a FTA Channel, providing
tasteful, differentiated, wholesome entertainment in South Indian
language –Malayalam. Channel has Global Footprint covering Australia,
Singapore, Middle East, Europe, UK, USA, Canada and South Africa.
Emerged as a trend setting channel that introduces new formats and
differentiated content offering a single window viewer-platform for
entertainment in all genres.
Amrita TV is known for its value based programming approach and today,
it is the only satellite channel in India to be honoured with 58 State
Awards for Excellence in Television in 6 years.
Achievements/Milestones – Present
Brought the channel to the band of leading channels in terms of
revenue, connectivity and viewership

Doubled the revenue in a span of two years
Visibility :
Partnering with local FM stations and leading print media, a series
of ground events (entertainment shows) were successfully
organized.
Viewership
First time in the history of Indian Television, a reality show for
Church Choir “Devageetham” was organized from UAE and run to
two seasons totaling 125 episodes. This was a runaway success
and helped to gain hundreds of new viewers for the channel.
Inspired by the success of ‘Devageetham’, did another music reality
show “Kasavuthattam” (Now getting into Season – II), again totally
shot in the UAE with Gulf contestants
Successfully introduced “Super Chefs”(now on air), an innovative
culinary venture focusing on Five Star hotels in the GCC
Achievements/Milestones - Past
Profit centre head for Integrated Advertising services (IAS) –
Malayala Manorama Media Group, Digital Media Division and
Events.
IAS is the leading media marketing organization in the Gulf region, located in Dubai
Media City, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. IAS handles a spectrum of media ranging
from print to audio-visual, spanning a wide geography from India to Hong Kong &
Russia to the U.S.A.
• Digital Division is my initiative. I personally managed to negotiate with all the
major titles. In a short time of eight months, the division broke even. When the
traditional media is taking a back step, digital media is the fastest growing and
the most promising business proposition.
Successful launch of Manorama News in the Gulf
• Manorama News is the only dedicated infotainment Malayalam channel in the
Gulf. Right from the beginning, I have been actively involved in the project,
designed and implemented launch and marketing strategies for the region.
Launched in November 2007, today MMTV commands a good rating. On the
revenue front, Manroama News now has a reputation as an effective alternative
to the established channels like Asianet and Kairali.

• As a part of the Digital division, this portal, led by me is the third largest in the
world among newspapers and is turning out to be one of the most profitable
advertising medium.
Malayala Manorama Daily
• Established the title in the Gulf as the largest circulated and read daily. In terms
of advertising revenue, ensured an average growth of around 35 – 40 % per
annum as against the industry growth of nearly 15%
Manorama Events
• Successfully organized the Onam (harvest festival of the southern Indian state of
Kerala) celebrations in the UAE for the last three years. This month-long
celebration culminates into a mega stage show and all the three shows
organized so far have been profitable. Being a non-commercial event, which is
purely on invitation, making profits from sponsorships alone is indeed an
achievement.

• Joined as Assistant Manager – Response. Initially posted as the head of
`Recruitment Category.’ Promoted as Dy Manager in 1993 and given the
responsibility of `Tenders and Public Notices,’ which then accounted for 25% of
the branch revenue. Traveled extensively in North India for business
development and ensured an impressive growth of over 20% per annum
Asian Can Limited, New Delhi; 1994 -1995
• Led product development and marketing. Responsible for developing new
markets and products to match industry requirements.
Malayala Manorama Co. Ltd, New Delhi 1987 – 1992
• Joined as Marketing Supervisor (Management Cadre) to look after the Group’s
marketing operations in North India. Gained thorough training in media
marketing. Being the number one title in circulation and readership among all the
Group titles, job profile was more operational than strategic. Traveled widely in
North India to get new business as well as to service the existing clientele.
