WHAT AN ADD AGENCY DOES
An add agency play many more roles than Advertisement,
An add agency is a type of business dedicated to creating,
planning, and handling advertising and sometimes other
forms of promotion and marketing for its clients. An ad
agency is generally independent from the client; it may be
an internal department or agency that provides an outside
point of view to the effort of selling the client's products or
services, or an outside firm. An agency can also handle
overall marketing and branding strategies promotions for its
clients, which may include sales as well.
INTRODUCTION
• Mudra Ahmedabad was founded by A.G.
KRISHNAMURTHY on 25 March 1980 as an
offshoot of Reliance Industries' advertising
division.
• Madhukar Kamath is the Group CEO and
Managing Director since 2003
• Initially it had only 15 employees, 500 sq.ft
space and Rs 40,000 as startup capital.
INTRODUCTION
• In 1990, Mudra signed a collaboration
agreement with DDB Needham Worldwide.
• In 2011, Reliance decided to sell majority of
stocks to Omnicom Group, who is parent of
DDB Mudra
• It also started Mudra Institute of
Communications Ahmedabad which is
considered India's first academic institution
dedicated to communications and
advertising studies.
CLIENTS OF MUDRA
• Now a days mudra group has more than 125
clients, some of them are folliwings
• LIC, ICICI PRUDENTIAL MUTUAL FUNDS,
COLGATE, IDEA, AIRCEL, VIDEOCON, PEPSICO,
ASHOK LEYLAND, MOTHER DAIRY, NESTLEY,
GODREJ, VOLKSWAGEN, ASIAN PAINTS, ITC,
HUL, JAYPEE GROUP, WIPRO, TATA
COMMUNICATIONS, TOURISM AUSTRALIA,
MCDONALDS, ETC
CAMPAIGN
• FIRST: launch of vimal taxtile with tag line
‘only vimal’.
• SECOND: launch of soft drink RASNA in 1983,
with tag line ‘ I LOVE YOU RASNA’ , and in
1986, RASNA become India's largest soft drink
seller.
• LIC: tagline of LIC ‘ zindagi ke sath bhi zindagi
ke bad bhi’ used till now

The Process of Creating Advertising Campaigns
• An add company follow many steps for play a
advertising campaigns
1. The account manager meets with the client to
identify the problem that needs to be solved.
2. The account manager writes a creative brief
based on that problem. This will include
competitive analysis, research, the assistance
of the planner and/or creative director, and
eventually, sign off from the client.
3. The account manager briefs the creative team
and includes a timeline, budget, proposed media
and other factors.
4. The creative team works on the project for several
days (or weeks if they’re lucky) and brings the first
round of ideas to the creative director.
5. The creative director will cull the ideas that are not
working, and direct the team to explore the good
ideas.
6. The creative team will continue to work on the ideas,
but bring in the production department , account
manager and other members of the agency to make
sure the work is on track. If there are printed pieces,
or a shoot is required, this is when the production
department will begin estimates.
7. The creative director approves the final ideas, and the
creative team presents them to the client.
8. The client will go away and discuss the ideas, before
giving feedback to the agency.
9. The creative team works closely with the account team,
media buying, production, and the creative director to
produce the ads, whatever form they may take.
10. The final ads are placed in front of the client for approval.
Once the client approves, the ads are published, be it online,
in print, outdoor, on the air, or any other media.
11. The agency will monitor the success, and ROI, of the ads
and give the feedback to the client and client pays to the
company

  • 9. The Process of Creating Advertising Campaigns • An add company follow many steps for play a advertising campaigns 1. The account manager meets with the client to identify the problem that needs to be solved. 2. The account manager writes a creative brief based on that problem. This will include competitive analysis, research, the assistance of the planner and/or creative director, and eventually, sign off from the client.
  • 10. 3. The account manager briefs the creative team and includes a timeline, budget, proposed media and other factors. 4. The creative team works on the project for several days (or weeks if they’re lucky) and brings the first round of ideas to the creative director. 5. The creative director will cull the ideas that are not working, and direct the team to explore the good ideas.
  • 11. 6. The creative team will continue to work on the ideas, but bring in the production department , account manager and other members of the agency to make sure the work is on track. If there are printed pieces, or a shoot is required, this is when the production department will begin estimates. 7. The creative director approves the final ideas, and the creative team presents them to the client. 8. The client will go away and discuss the ideas, before giving feedback to the agency.
