Celina opened a Photoshop file and placed a photo to edit. She used the magnetic lasso tool to outline the green leaves on the left side of the photo. She then selected inverse to make the background black and white while keeping the leaves green. This allowed the black bird to blend into the background while keeping the image interesting.

2. Process I opened a new Photoshop file to
start my product. I made sure my
page was the right size and the
page was landscape to make sure
my picture fit properly. I did this
by selecting image, image rotation
and 90 degrees clockwise. I then
placed my photo in to Photoshop
by selecting file and then place
and selecting this photo to begin
editing it. I did this by selecting
the magnetic lasso tool. I then
used the tool to outline the leaves
on the left hand side. After this I
right clicked and pressed select
inverse this made sure the rest of
the image went to black and
white and the green stayed green.
I did this so the black bird blended
into the background but the
image was still interesting. I like
the overall contrast because it is
so big and simple.

I opened a new Photoshop file to start my product. I
made sure my page was the right size and the page is
portrait, Photoshop usually does it is this way
automatically. To start my product I had to put my
picture onto a new layer, to do this I had to select file,
place and pick the picture I wanted to edit. I then
pressed curves to drag different point down until I had
the effect I wanted.

• This is a raw photograph
meaning the image has not
been edited in anyway. I
created this photo by using a
lens to focus in the flower and
make the background
unfocused so the focused
section stands out more I like
this effect as you can see the
centre of the flower in detail. I
framed the flower like this
because then the petals spread
through the picture and aren't
just crammed into one corner
and using the centre point of
the flower as the main focus
point.
