1. How does your media product
represent particular social groups?
New affluent workers - A young group,
socially and culturally active with middling
levels of income.
Young and on a stable income, this social
group can afford the social lifestyle they
want. The magazine is priced at a very much
affordable price for this class.
Emergent service workers - New
young urban group who don't have
much money but are very social and
cultural. They "live for today“
House and dance music has its very
own culture that comes with it, which
is very much living for now.
“A social group is a collection of individuals that share similar
interests, characteristics and sense of unity”

3. Feature Article Photograph
The model in the feature article
photograph acts as a
representative of the classes my
product is aimed at. A young
model wearing urban/boho
clothes shows she may belong to
a similar class to the new
affluent workers and emergent
service workers.

Focusing on Ibiza, a young
vibrant and party island full
of people of this social class
locking to ‘live for the
moment’.
Price
The price of my magazine is
based on the idea that my
product is aimed at young
people. The price is affordable
for a young person at a
reasonable low but stable
income (New affluent workers).

fashion of young people
belonging in my
particular social classes.
Article Choice
The articles link with the
music genre but were
decided using the social
class I am concentrating
on. What kind of people
attend these events and
festivals? Emergent
service workers and new
affluent workers. Stable
enough income to allow
them to do these things,
but also have to social
interest. In addition, the
mode of address I have
used within the contents
page is informal and
chatty, which suits the
young members of the
social classes.
5. Tone/Mode of address
The form of my article is an interview, keeping it casual. The tone is very relaxed but informative to the reader.
Containing what exactly they want to hear including events and celebrities. This casual mode of address connects
with my young target market of young affluent workers and emergent service workers. This link to events in the
article links to how my demographic like to spend their spare time (going to gigs, listening to music).

dressed casually –
connecting with my
young and casual
demographic. They feel
like they can relate to
my magazine if the
people featured in it are
of a similar nature.
