2. Questionnaire
I made a questionnaire to give to my target
audience the questionnaire was based on what
they thought of our music video and whether or
not they thought it matched it’s genre. I believe
it important to carry out this research because
they are the consumers and would eventually
be buying the product.
3. Q1. What genre would you class
this video as?
From the results it is clear that we have successfully created out
brand image and kept it throughout our product. And the brand
image was correct to the genre chosen- ‘indie rock’. Some of the
results are shown below
Rock
indie Rock
Indie
Pop

4. Q2. Would you watch the music
video again?
Would you watch this again, is a way of trying to see if they’d watch
the film again. I believe if they are not to like it there is no way they
share the clip with their friends which is how music is often shared
these days and vital to the music market. The results are shown
below in the pie chart. Column1
Yes No
5. Did you understand the storyline?
I wanted to ask this question because in my research the indie Rock
videos didn’t seem to have an easy storyline to follow or there was
just a subtle one. That’s why we believed it was important to include
one in our video and to keep it simple but to not have an ending.
The reason I believed it important to have a subtle storyline simply
because it gives the audience something to follow. The results are
shown below:
Yes No
6. What genre characteristics stood
out the most?
The reason for asking this question was so I could work out which of
the following characteristics were the most effective in our
production. Costume, location, editing and narrative. From the
results it is clear that both costume and location were the most
effective characteristics with ten on each meaning the remaining
five voted the other two.
Below are the results.
