2. Text Experiment
• Tutorial: Comic Text (Photoshop CC) -
Behr – YouTube
• For my text experiment I followed an
online tutorial (link shown above). I
made adjustments as I was following
the tutorial to make it fit to how I
wanted it took look. For the colour
gradient I changed it slightly to make it
more aesthetically pleasing to me, as I
felt the colours used in the tutorial
weren’t as bold as I liked. I chose not
to add the comic dots to my text as I
also felt this did not fit the look I was
hoping for when I had adjusted the
text to how I wanted it to be.
3. Reflection-
Text
Experiment
• I would definitely like
to used the style of
text on my project, as
I feel this would fit
well with the style I
am planning to have
my project.
• If I was to use it, I
would mix the colours
up to fit the colour
scheme of each
element of the poster
so that it both blends
and contrasts with the
colour scheme of my
planned work.
4. Process-Drawing
Experiment
• For my drawing experiment, I began by taking a
picture of the original figure and opening it in
Procreate. I then made a rough sketch on a new
layer around each edge of the figure to create a
basic outline. I made the brush colour grey, so it
was easily identifiable on top of the photo.
• I then hid the photo layer and opened a new layer.
Using a place brush this time I created refined
edges to the intuitively sketch I had done, to create
a neat and refined drawing of the figure.
• I then opened another layer and began to add
colour to each section accurate in colour by using
the colour picker on the original photo and then
filling in each area.
• Finally, I blended in the colours on the beak using
the blend tool, to give it an even gradient. Then
added detail to the eyes to make it look even more
realistic.
5. Reflection- Drawing Experiment
• I will definitely be using this technique in my final product, as
this worked really well for me and was a fairly simple process to
follow.
• I feel this would make my final product effective and unique, as
it would be my own style as I can manipulate the drawing to be
exactly how I want it to look, and change the colour scheme to
fit with the rest of my product.
