2. This is the
questionnaire which I
handed out for people
to answer via survey
monkey. On the
following pages are an
in depth analysis on the
results from each
question.
3. Question 1
My first question was
whether people thought
watching a world record
attempt was exciting. Out of
11 answers, 100% of people
said yes. This has lead me
to believe I have chosen the
right idea in terms of my 4
initial ideas. In addition to
this it has given me the
confidence to try and break
a world record.
4. Question 2
I included my second
question in order to find out
what type of world record I
should break. The primary
reason in which I decided to
include the 3 options was due
to the fact that I felt
comfortable with all 3. Prior to
receiving the results I was
edging towards a ‘food
challenge’ because of my
ability to eat food in large
amounts and very quickly. As
the results show, over 90% of
people would rather see a
food challenge over the other
two.
5. Question 3
I used question 3 in order to
find out what type of music I
could use in my documentary.
Prior to this questionnaire I was
planning to use copyright free
music from the YouTube
channel ‘ByeByeCopyRight’,
however after analysing the
questionnaire results, the
feedback clearly states that
over 70% of people would
rather see the instrumentals of
popular songs e.g. Justin
Bieber. However the only
problem with that would be
legal issues. In addition to this
18% of people stated they
would like to hear unknown
instrumentals, therefore giving
my the option to vary the music
I use in the documentary.
6. Question 4
Colour is important in videos
due to the fact that it’s a factor
in which keeps audiences
engaged, especially with a
young audience like mine.
Therefore I felt it was
important to get an input on
the colours used within the
video. Over 54% of people felt
that the main colour scheme
of the video should be blue.
However 36% of people felt
that a muticoloured theme
should be used. Personally I
feel that, if I use a
muticoloured scheme, it would
take the focus off the video
itself, but on the contrary it
may add additional excitement
to the documentary.
7. Question 5
The penultimate question, was
based on what clothing the
presenter should wear. If
presenter lead, the presenter
would of course be me, due to
the fact that I am the one
attempting the world record.
The feedback from this
question was difficult due to
the fact that there were two
close answers. 45% of people
chose ‘casual clothing’, whilst
36% chose ‘smart casual’. In
addition to this 18% of people
felt that a ‘themed outfit’ would
be most appropriate. After
receiving this information, I
may have to conduct another
questionnaire/vox pop in order
to find a definite answer.
8. Question 6
The last question was also
about the presenter, but was
mainly about presenter style. I
included the following choices
due to the fact that I feel that
those are the style I feel most
confident with. In terms of the
results, I couldn’t have hoped
for better, with over 60% of
people voting for ‘funny’. The
last film I made, I presented in
a funny manor, and received
great feedback. Hopefully I
receive the same, if not better
this time round.
