Price Check Advantage - Overview
Has this ever happened to you?
Human errors are possible and often lead to wrongly entered values. To avoid such scenarios Flipkart
Marketplace has introduced the “Price Check” advantage which is a soft error detection. It alerts you
when you have entered a seemingly wrong value.
• If the value entered by you is correct, then just simply disable the price variance and continue your
update.
• This new feature has been enabled on your seller portal and the stock file.

In case the selling price entered by you is below/above certain thresholds, then you will get the following
message:

FAQs
Q. I have entered the right MRP/selling price but system says incorrect price, what should I
do?
You can disable the price check for that entry and process it further. The disable option is available while
updating your price through seller portal or the stock file.
Q. If I disable price check once for a product, then does this mean this feature will be
disabled permanently?
No, the price check will happen every time you update the MRP/selling price of a product. So, even if you
disable this feature once, the next you update the same product this feature gets enabled.
Q. How should I disable price check in stock file?
Please go to the column on price check and change the status from drop down menu to ‘disable’.

Q. How should I disable price check using My Listings?
Please click on the check box “Ignore price check” on the bottom right hand side of the My Listings page.
Q. On what basis does the system generate an error/validation message?
System will validate your selling price and other values with other similar listings on the marketplace. In
case value entered by you is too low/high compared to average selling price on Flipkart, then system
will generate an error/validation message.
Q. How will system identify the error if the product listed by me is the only on the
marketplace?
In this case price check will happen based on the variance between MRP and selling price. If the variance
is too high or low, system will notify you about the same.
