2. Meaning of Excretion
• The term excretion is made up of two words
ex means out and crete means to flow. The
process of removal of waste products from the
body is known as Excretion.
3. • Kidney – These are primary excretory organs
throwing out waste products in the form of
urine.
• Large Intestine – Undigested food is removed
through large intestine and thrown out of the
body through anus.
4. • Skin – It excretes excess of water, urea,salt and
other metabolic wastes in form of sweat.
Sweat is secreted from sweat glands.
• Lungs – Carbondioxide and water vapours are
respiratory wastes exhalaed through nostrils.
• Liver – Dead RBC, excess of amino acids and
proteins are removed from the body from the
liver by blood.
5. • Blood circulates in the body and collects waste
products from different parts of the body
,now the blood needs to be filtered and it
enters into the urinary system consist of
• Kidney
• Ureter
• Urinary bladder
• Urethra
