The excretory system eliminates waste from the body through the urinary system and sweat glands. The urinary system produces about 1.4 liters of urine per day by filtering waste from the blood in the kidneys and removing it from the body via the ureters, bladder, and urethra. Sweat glands also help remove waste by secreting sweat through the pores in the skin to cool the body down during physical activity or hot conditions.
