Business planning - To develop and implement a store specific business plan that will
lead to the achievement of sales and profitability goals, ensuring long-term business
growth. To ensure that the business plan is communicated effectively to the store team
and that it is reviewed and revised as appropriate.
Financial control - Prepares and monitor store budgets to achieve accurate sales,
forecasting and effective cost control. Has the full accountability for store profit and loss
projections in the fiscal year.
Merchandise management - Works with the relevant buying group, provides feedback on
store sales and communicate store specific requirements in a timely manner. Ensures that
product is displayed and merchandised to a high visual standard and in accordance with
company guidelines.
Training & Development - Ensure that regular training is provided for all members of
the team in order to achieve high standards of product knowledge, customer service,
selling skills, merchandising, inventory control, loss prevention, and store operations.
Provide ongoing development for members of the store management team.

Team Leadership - To lead the store management team, establishing mutually agreed and
appropriate performance objectives for each individual. Establish effective ways of
reviewing performance against objectives, ensuring that regular coaching is provided to
support individuals within the management team. To oversee the management of the
wider store team with the goal of developing a skilled and committed team.
Communication - To ensure clear and effective methods of communication are in place
within the store in order to ensure that the management team are aware of all current and
future business developments. Runs regular store meetings in order to communicate key
information to the wider team and to provide a forum for training. To also maintain regular
communication with line Manager and all relevant Head Office departments.
Recruitment - To manage the recruitment and selection of all members of the store team,
working with the relevant Regional departments and the in store management team to ensure
that a fair and consistent process is used and that all successful candidates meet the criteria
outlined by the company.
