Working Title:
Photo Art Magazine
Audience:
My target audience is age is between 16-30 years old
because this age range has got some disposable
income to spend on magazines and this age group is
most likely to be into photography. My magazines will
be non-gender specific because it will appeal to all
genders. My target audience social status will be
working class because my product will be cheap and
because they don’t have much time to do their own
photography so they can read the magazine to get
their fix.
Rationale (approx. 100 words)
During my video games project, I have gained more
experience and skills in photoshop which I can use in
this project. I have more knowledge like using the
layers properly and how to use different tool which I
didn’t know how to use before like the pencil tool and
the quick select tool. I have also learned some simple
skills in InDesign because of my experiments which
will be useful when making the magazine because I
will be writing the articles in InDesign. The skills I
learnt in InDesign were how to make columns and how
to create gradients for the background.
Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
My concept for my project is that it’s a magazine about
photography and art. The magazine will have photos
which have taken them and I will edit them in different
ways, I will also have articles on how I edited them
and another article will be about the camera I used

and interview on photographers. I will use photoshop
to edit the imagines and make the front cover and I will
use InDesign to put the magazine together and write
the articles. The magazine will also include a poster
which will be mentioned on the front cover. I will
research different photography magazine to see how
they layout their front covers and pages. This will help
my product look more professional because I basing it
off a real magazine. I will also research how to edit
photos properly so that my photo I put in the magazine
look expert and professional. My magazine will also
have a competition where people send in their photos
and the best one wins a camera or a holiday. I will also
have to research different fonts to but on the front
cover and to use in the articles, this will improve my
product because it will look nice and easy to read. I
will also have adverts of camera and equipment in the
magazine to make feel like a real magazine
Evaluation (approx. 50 words)
I will take screen shots of me making the product and
after I have finished, I will look back and see if I could
have done it in a better way or if it turns out alright. I
will also compare my product to a similar product and
see what the differences are and the similarities.
