COURSE: 6th grade ‘C’ and ‘D’.
TEXTBOOK: Materials provided by the teachers.
DATE: Thursday 17th, August, 2017
TIMETABLE: Mondays and Thursdays from 15.45 Hrs. to 17.25 Hrs.
TOPIC: Present Continuous tense.
CLASS Nº 2
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
 Students will be able to describe images, orally and written, by using the Present
Continuous tense.
 Students will be able to describe actions, orally and written, happening at the
moment of speaking.
 Students will be able to understand and produce speaking, reading and writing
macro-skills.
 Students will be able to reflect upon Children’s Rights.
ROUTINES:
 Greeting with the usual phrase “Yellow, red, green and blue, hello teacher, how are
you? I’m fine, and you? We are OK, thank you.” repeated by the students, teacher
and trainees.
 Writing down the date on the blackboard.

 Asking students about how they are on this day and if there is anybody absent.
Timing: 3 minutes.
WARM UP
The class will start by correcting orally the activity assigned as homework, with the
help of the whiteboard. In that way, the trainee will ask the students about the concepts and
activities previously done so as to make a revision.
• Type of interaction: Teacher- students.
• Macro-skills: Reading and speaking.
• Timing: 5 minutes.
• Materials: Photocopies, whiteboard.
DEVELOPMENT
First activity: The trainee will give each student a photocopy with a True (T) or False (F)
activity that students will have to solve according to four (4) videos the trainee will show
them. As the videos are related to Children’s Rights, the trainee will also ask students some
questions such as ‘Which right(s) the video refers to?’, ‘Is/are it/they respected or not?’,
‘Are you similar or different from the characters in the videos’ to analyze them. Moreover,
students will have to choose a title for each of the videos. The activity will be done orally
and all together with the help of the teacher and the whiteboard.
• Type of interaction: Teacher- students.
• Macro-skills: Reading, writing and speaking.
• Timing: 20 minutes
• Materials: Photocopies, whiteboard, projector, netbook.
Second Activity: The trainee will give each student another photocopy with an activity
similar to the one assigned as homework the previous lesson, in which students will have to
number characters in an image according to the actions they are doing. The activity will be
done individually and corrected orally and all together with the help of the whiteboard.

• Macro-skills: Reading and speaking.
• Timing: 10 minutes
• Materials: Photocopies, whiteboard.
CLOSING UP
In case students are not able to finish the last activity in the class, the trainee will
ask them to finish it as homework so as to check it the next class.
Finally, the trainee will say goodbye to the students.

  • 1. PRACTICE II, Didactics of ELT and Practicum at Primary School level Monge Ana Valentina & Morán Ana Belén - 2017 1 LESSON PLAN Nº 2 TEACHER: Estela N. Braun. MENTOR TEACHER: Romina Cheme Arriaga. TRAINEES: Monge Ana Valentina and Morán Ana Belén. SCHOOL: Escuela Nº4 ‘Coronel Remigio Gil’. COURSE: 6th grade ‘C’ and ‘D’. TEXTBOOK: Materials provided by the teachers. DATE: Thursday 17th, August, 2017 TIMETABLE: Mondays and Thursdays from 15.45 Hrs. to 17.25 Hrs. TOPIC: Present Continuous tense. CLASS Nº 2 LEARNING OBJECTIVES:  Students will be able to describe images, orally and written, by using the Present Continuous tense.  Students will be able to describe actions, orally and written, happening at the moment of speaking.  Students will be able to understand and produce speaking, reading and writing macro-skills.  Students will be able to reflect upon Children’s Rights. ROUTINES:  Greeting with the usual phrase “Yellow, red, green and blue, hello teacher, how are you? I’m fine, and you? We are OK, thank you.” repeated by the students, teacher and trainees.  Writing down the date on the blackboard.

PRACTICE II, Didactics of ELT and Practicum at Primary School level Monge Ana Valentina & Morán Ana Belén - 2017 2  Asking students about how they are on this day and if there is anybody absent. Timing: 3 minutes. WARM UP The class will start by correcting orally the activity assigned as homework, with the help of the whiteboard. In that way, the trainee will ask the students about the concepts and activities previously done so as to make a revision. • Type of interaction: Teacher- students. • Macro-skills: Reading and speaking. • Timing: 5 minutes. • Materials: Photocopies, whiteboard. DEVELOPMENT First activity: The trainee will give each student a photocopy with a True (T) or False (F) activity that students will have to solve according to four (4) videos the trainee will show them. As the videos are related to Children’s Rights, the trainee will also ask students some questions such as ‘Which right(s) the video refers to?’, ‘Is/are it/they respected or not?’, ‘Are you similar or different from the characters in the videos’ to analyze them. Moreover, students will have to choose a title for each of the videos. The activity will be done orally and all together with the help of the teacher and the whiteboard. • Type of interaction: Teacher- students. • Macro-skills: Reading, writing and speaking. • Timing: 20 minutes • Materials: Photocopies, whiteboard, projector, netbook. Second Activity: The trainee will give each student another photocopy with an activity similar to the one assigned as homework the previous lesson, in which students will have to number characters in an image according to the actions they are doing. The activity will be done individually and corrected orally and all together with the help of the whiteboard.

CLOSING UP In case students are not able to finish the last activity in the class, the trainee will ask them to finish it as homework so as to check it the next class. Finally, the trainee will say goodbye to the students.
