Digipaks are gatefold cases that hold one or more disks. They are commonly used for CD singles or special album editions. The document analyzes several digipaks from the same music genre as the band in question. It describes the cover art, contents, and designs of the digipaks to understand how they market and represent the artists.

Digipaks are typically designed as a gatefold styled case that is able to hold one or more disks
inside. Digipaks are usually used for CD singles or special editions of albums.
The following examples of digipaks shown are taken from a same genre of music as the band
that were are using with exception to the last one which I choose to show different styles of
content that can be used in a digipak.

3. Digipaks analysis
The front cover of the album is art work that has been made for
this album. The bands logo has been placed near the bottom of
the digipak. The bands logo will be instantly recognisable to the
bands fan base. The text `Greatest Hits` has been placed at the
bottom of the album in the same font of the bands name. The use
of font of the bands name has been reused on many of their
albums which again will make it recognisable for their fans.
The digipak contains two disks which
both contain the bands greatest hits.

4. Digipack analysis
The front cover of the digipak is a piece of
art work that is also used for the CD it self.
The digipak also contains a book which is
also in black with white bold writing on it.
This is the same style of writing in which the
bands name at the top left corner has been
put in.
The digipak is a new album for the band so
the album was designed to advertise the
bands new songs and not existing releases.

The front cover for this digipak is two different helmets. I feel that this
is trying to represent two different identities. It also has the name of
the album in a hand writing font which makes it more personal as well
as it being unique from other album covers that I have analysed.
The digipak was made as a vinyl which makes it unique from most
popular and new albums. It will also appeal to a different type of
audience that may frequently buy vinyl.
The digipak was also available in a collectors
editions, which came in a cloth bound box which
contains a special edition two sided vinyl, an 8 page
book with art work, credits and lyric sheets, a photo
book of images, collectors edition vinyl with a
interview on it, two robot helmet designs, A pair of
gold and silver plated, metal encased, reusable USB
drives containing audio files.
