This presentation explains the props and costumes that will be used in the music video and why.

2. Introduction
◦ This presentation includes a list of props and costumes that we intend to use
for the actors. The costumes and props being used for the live preformation
have been decided upon the conventions of the genre and what the audience
is expecting.

3. Props- live performance
For the live preformation scene we are going to use the following props: Drums, Bass guitar, microphone, guitar
amp. The props used are part of the conventions from the rock genre and are seen in this style of music video.
There is also product placement from the brand label on the amp, drums and bass. To show this to the audience
there will be several close ups to show the brand, this is also a convention in music videos as it is a way for
companies to make money from the audience seeing their product being used by the band.

4. Props- Homeless man
We will be using cardboard sign next to where the homeless man is sitting.
We have decided to this as it is a item that people would aspect to see with a
homeless man, this will make sure the audience knows that he is homeless
as it is an important part of the narrative.
A blanket is also going to be used for two reasons that will
add to the music video, these are as it is a common item
for a homeless person to have and the audience will
connect with that. Also it is import to cover the suit that
the actor is wearing, which is important to the narrative.

5. Props- Main character
The character will be using the headphones to block out the noise of the charity
collectors and will be seen in the majority of the shots with him in.
The phone is also going to be used as part of the narrative,
there will be a shot of him turning up the music so that he cant
hear the charity collectors. The phone also shows his wealth
adding to the idea the audience will have already created of
him. This can also be used as product placement as it is a well
known brand that audiences will recognise.

6. Props- Charity Collectors
We have decided to use a charity
bucket to make it clear that the
characters are charity workers. It is
also something that people would
aspect to see with a charity collector.

7. Costume- Band Members
This is a picture for the band Royal Blood which we are
creating a music video for one of their songs. The band is
dressed in all black which is a convention of this genre of
music. The band members in the music video will also be
dressed in black which will support the convention of the
genre.

8. Costume- Homeless man/ business man
The homeless man will be wearing a suit that is covered by a blanket, the blanket is being used
to disguise who he really is. The man will be seen taking this off and the suit will be seen under
the blanket.
The man will also be wearing a hat to cover the neat hair of the business man and a fake beard
which makes him look more like a homeless man until he takes it off and become a business
man.
