This document is going to be showing how two different organisations use internal and external sources to plan recruitment whilst keeping on target with their selected objectives. The two organisations chosen are Alton Towers and The Howard School. The two different types of recruitment are internal and external. Internal recruitment meaning using the resources around them and recruiting from within the organisation, external meaning using other recruitment procedures outside the organisation such as through the internet.

are part of a groupof amusementstheycanalsoadvertise atthe otherareas.

Recruitmentagencies –AltonTower’smayuse recruitmentagencieswhentheyare lookingfor
specificskillsinemployees,thismaybe foran importantjobor whenthe businessislow onstaff.
Internet– AltonTower’swoulduse the internetbecausetheyare alarge businessandtherefore
theyare likely toneedregularstaff andthe internetisagood place to lookbecause of the amountof

To give studentsafairchance at gettinggoodgrades.For thistheymayhave to helpstudentswith
afterschool sessionsandregularhomeworkaswell astestingwhattheyknow.

The Howard School islikelyto reportthrougha numberof ways,because theyare a school there are
manyservicesavailablejusttoschools.Firstof all theycan advertise throughthe TESwebsite which
providesteachingresources.Theycanalsorecruitthroughrecruitmentagencieswhichcanbe
expensive butisnecessarytogetthe staff withthe correctskills. There maybe reasonsfor
recruitmentsuchasemployeesleaving,if there isashortage of staff ina subjectand a few leave
thenit wouldbe difficulttooperate asnormal.Theymayalsoleave formaternitycoverorillness.
Anotherreasonforrecruitmentisthatthe school may be expandingsuchasintodifferentsubjects
and therefore will needteacherswiththe correctskillstobe able toteach the students. Theydonot

and needthemfast,thiswaytheycan make sure the staff theyneedhave the correct skillsandthey
can alsogain a large amountof staff thiswayalthoughthere isa highcost for eachstaff member
that joinsthroughthe agency.
