UII is basically a company which imports CRGO steel and copper. They are into
distribution of CRGO silicon steel to companies who manufacture high tension
transformers for electricity board etc..
Customer Service /Relationship Manager
o Sales Support from “Quote” to “Post-Ship.”
o Responsible for handling customers across India and handling customers on
order management, Order fulfillment, expedites, shipment management,
including complex issue resolution.
o Partner/customer relationship building.
o Responsible for high sea sales.
o Coordination with Collections team on credit issues, Credit memo generation,
credit and rebill etc.
o Close interaction with logistics and reverse logistics.

later given additional responsibility for administration.
o Since the company closed its SMR division was transferred to ASIAN Lighting
division as Area Manager in the year 2002, promoted as Senior Area Manager in
2004 (Institutional sales) and was later promoted in 2006 as Regional Manager
for south both institutional and distribution sales.
Main Responibilities
o Proactively worked with sales team in expanding customer base,
o Ensuring sales target and objectives are met.
o Responsible for Order Management (Registering orders, Validation of orders as
per contract terms)
o Ensuring order fulfillment/execution. Evaluation of orders and follow up with
manufacturing plant to align materials as per customer request.
o Co-ordination with customers with regard order management and order
fulfillment.
o Accountable for stock management in branch.
o Monitoring Payments as per the credit terms and collection of commercial forms.
o Managed the needs/requirements of high revenue commercial accounts through
extensive follow-up procedures.
o Work closely with sales team to plan and execute promotional schemes, dealers
and distributors meet, local advertisements, organize events.
o Handling customer complaints (commercial) & any discrepancy in shipments i.e.
– price, error in shipments – to regularize with CN.
o Send monthly reviews and sales report to head quarters.
o Prepare yearly sales target state wise, product wise, customer wise as per the
target given by Marketing head quarters.
o Proposing action plan to improve customer satisfaction and to generate new
business opportunities. Many of the recommendations appreciated & accepted by
country manager.
o Organize monthly meeting with state head and quarterly meeting with the entire
south zone sales team for quarterly reviews.

o Always achieved 100% sales with respect to zonal target set.
