2. When it came to creating both of my ancillary products I wanted to ensure that they looked as professional
as possible so that they would look realistic. I feel as though by making them look as authentic and real as
possible it makes a link between that of the audience and the product so that it is a more effective
promotional tool and it seems more influential to those who would see it.
I think I have managed to create a link through both of my products and I feel as though it has created an
effective set of ancillary products.
3. UNEARTHED
The title of our film, “UNEARTHED”, can be seen across all three of my products and I feel as though it is
effective as it maintains the same font style and colour scheme throughout. The idea behind the title was to
connote with the name of the film itself, the idea of digging something up, therefore we decided to give it a
very ragged look to make it look as though it worked with the secret of the film trailer. I feel as though using
it across all three products has helped to make it more memorable for the consumers.
4. Key Imagery/Props
Throughout my products I feel as though I have used key imagery and props to form a link between my
products to give them a more synchronised feeling. I feel as though these things can be shown as another
way of linking the story between my products to make them more effective promotional tools. I feel as
though a key prop used a lot throughout the trailer and also used on one of my ancillary tasks is the axe. The
axe is the weapon of choice in which the mysterious creature/person uses to kill his victims and I feel as
though it serves a big part of the promotion of the trailer.
5. Themes
Throughout the process of creating the film trailer, magazine cover and poster I feel there are three key
themes that are shown throughout all of the products. These themes include pursuit, nature and death
which have all been represented differently by each of the products. I feel as though this creates a bond
that really gels all of the products together to create one final promotional tool.
