Production Process Evaluation
Research
• My strengths in my research where mostly in horror games such as FNAF
or don’t escape 3,thesehad a aspect of the game which is mostly digital
based things such as.
• The screen
• The glitch aspect of the game
• How they make “bugs” seem planned
Planning
• I went into photo shop and came up with 3 different loading screens
Time Management
• I completed this project a bit late, I spent way too much time on my actual
final design on the loading screen, instead of the other parts of the unit
and my final outcome came out with additional adds to it later throughout
the course.
• If I had more time I would have worked on my main units.
Technical Qualities
In my opinion I think achieved the outcome of the final product of the loading screen as
it turned out really well and kind of sleek as the animation was fluid and was a bit
sporadic, the separation of colors also added onto it as the separation of colors made it
seem more dark and scary.
Aesthetic Qualities
My work in its final form looks aesthetically pleasing the
fact its fluid and it stands out from my work in my personal
opinion its one of my favorites that I've worked on, my
strength was the animation and slowly becoming more and
more understanding of how to nail the “glitch "aspect of
my work
Audience Appeal
I think people who would be into horror games will be intrigued my the loading
screen as it shows a aspect of the game which is having something that’s gonna go
wrong, the way it moves around gives the player a unpleasant feel about the
whole game, and glitches scare people so if this was happening in a game I can
guarantee you would be scared
Peer
Feedback
Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
I like how the skull at the beginning is timed with
the sound effects while it glitched out.
The change of colour really added to the effect and
creepiness of the whole thing.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
If it was a bit slower it would have made it more
effective.
I got confused by the last part.
Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– The editing it took to make the glitches happen
were made to a very high standard
– The different colours with the monochrome really
worked.
• What improvements could have been made
to the product?
– The sound design was very loud, and had missing
pieces.
Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
• The visuals are colourful and I like the way they
move around to draw in the viewer and create
interest.
• The sound effects work well to create a distorted
effect.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product? A little longer lasting perhaps, some
link between the two separate images.
Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback? I agree with the whole colours
giving the horror aspect more to feel
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback? I don’t think it should be slowed
down as it would defy the point of it been fast
and creepy
Peer Feedback Summary
I would like to extend the length of the actual loading screen
animation, maybe add more visual effects on the loading animation
itself and create it more extended version or use a different symbol
itself. I could extend the sound effects to match the way the
animation moves
