Purpose
To inform, promote, and entertain.
Interviews, Biking gear, trails and bikes.
Advertising.
Low competition for the magazine.
Magazine genre & Format
The genre is mountain biking.
30-45 pages if released monthly,
around 60 pages if released every
other month.
Subscription service.
Similar height and width as an A4 sheet of paper for portability.
Text will be written in columns like in a newspaper.
Competition
Specific niche so low competition.
The magazine will stand out for being more
natural rather than bright colours and having a
mountain biker on the front, which is a
common theme across MTB magazines.
Lower prices than other magazines, so it will
cost £4.50.

Target audience
Main target audience is men and women in
Herts who have an interest in Mountain biking.
Ages 16 – 40, all ethnic groups and all types of
salaries.
Secondary target audience is the same as the
main, except for their age and their income.
Ages 16 – 55, enjoy visiting MTB events,
incomes between £30,000 and £100,000+.
House style
Natural colours, yellow, red, black, white,
brown, blue and green.
Modern fonts, Leoscar, Azonix, Manrope and
Coves.
General text size will be 12 to 14 so that I can
fit lots of information on the pages.
Content
Front cover: White space, natural colours,
slogans, cover lines, masthead, straplines and
puffs.
Text, fonts and images.
Double page spreads: interviews, biking gear,
equipment, trails in Herts and techniques.
