and upcoming artists by advertising
their new albums and songs.
2. Target audience

is 16 to 25 years old.

rather than just one.

B to D in the demographic class scale
• The secondary target audience will be people
who do not often listen

lenses SD cards cameras lighting equipment Tripod
9. Mood board
This moodboard will give me inspiration for my magazine by giving
examples of fonts, colours and designs the target audience enjoys.
10. Colour scheme
My double page spread is focused grime and drill
So I am going with a moody colour scheme using
Red, White, Grey and Black
From this moodboard I can tell the colours
black, white and grey
appeal to the younger generation and we
would also like a hint of colour, for this front
page I will use Blue

11. Fonts, Texts, Typefaces and Titles
Font one - This font interlinks all the genres
my magazine is for so it is a good match to
use for my masthead.
Font two - I will use this font for the main
bodies of text as it is very common and easy
to read.
Font three - This font can be used for the
puffs and headlines as it is tricky to read
within large bodies.
My title will be 'Mashup' I found this fitting as my magazine showcases more than one
genre within one magazine. I am going to have the title printed with the text 'Modern
sans serif 7' from dafont.com as it fits in with that modern look and links to the
electronic genre well.
12. Competition
Rap magazine in competition - ’I am hip-hop’
a London based hip-hop and rap magazine
magazine in competition -
Time out London magazine includes
grime, their USPs are very compelling
such as having the only interview
with ‘Skepta’
House magazine in competition – ‘Stamp The Wax’
Stamp the wax is an online based magazine.
13. Sketches and layout
My magazine is designed to look modern
and up to date with the latest trends.
I have designed it to look appealing
to 16 to 25 year olds by using
phones on the front page.
The big music fans should be attracted
by the music visualizer styled puffs on
the front page.
