Write down an explanation and example for the word
‘Compromise’ (as in to make a compromise).
• What does ‘compromising’ mean? – When two people argue….
• Can you give an example? – Real or made-up.
2. In teams of four, you shall act out one of the five
scenarios. We shall read four examples first on
pages 78-79. You may choose one of these four, or
create an original scenario.
Everyone must copy this scenario onto their page.
The purpose of this class is to discuss
compromises and rights.
Plan for today
3. Reading pages 78-79 – four volunteers required. Take short
note before starting.
(Note) Compromise: When both sides show respect and
settle a difference. It may involve both sides making
concessions (giving up something) to make an agreement.
(Task) Teams of four – Anyone can be actors but we need two
minimum. One person has to act as ‘Director’. Everyone has to
write down the ‘script’ (what the actors are going to say).
(Tip – rough hand writing, no tipex and don’t worry about
neatness.)
