This document outlines the plan for a class that will examine the causes of poverty and colonialism. The class will include defining key terms, reading passages and taking notes, watching an explanatory video, and completing homework that involves reflective journaling and an activity. Students will discuss how Ireland was treated by Britain, read about colonialism, non-governmental organizations, and factors that impact a country's development.
