Warm-up – pens, paper (A4 Refill Pad), journal, (no books today)
Take down the definition, then raise your hand and answer the question:
Sustainability: if something is sustainable, it should last a long
time. Our actions can either support or harm the planet.
Do you think you have a large impact on the planet? Why/why not?
4. Pre-Christmas, third years will do their projects. Expect student
vs. teacher events, bake sales, etc. After Christmas, all second
years shall do theirs, which will contribute to their entire Junior
Cert score.
All your Christmas mark will be a research project. One A4 page
on a charity of your choice. Marked on presentation and content.
During the year, we will examine Sustainability (the world is on
fire), Development (it’s our job to fix the planet) and Global
Change (we need to work with other countries).

5. You will answer 15 questions about your home and life. Your
homework will be to go to www.footprintcalculator.org and
fill in the answers you write today. All going well, I should
move over to the website after this slide.
