  Zipp

Unit 76 – Flash for Computer Games - 2D Character Concept Profile
  Physical description and personality:

At a glance, Zipp may look like a meager fly but he is in fact an alien insect hybrid,
originating in a distant galaxy. While he appears to conform to basic fly and insect
anatomy, there are in fact some very crucial differences; Zipp holds his body upright as
he flies, but also as he walks; his legs and wings are longer, droopier, and almost give an
appearance of draping across the floor; in fact his entire statue and facial features are
  very unique to Zipp.

Personality wise, Zipp is generally quite straightforward and has a ‘I’m just here to get
the job done’ kind of attitude. Sometimes he can seem to be cold and cunning, but this is
just a manifestation of his determination and underneath he just wants to go home.

Unit 76 – Flash for Computer Games - 2D Character Concept Profile
Biography and backstory – include powers and skills:

Sent to Earth by his own planet’s leaders, Zipp has been commissioned to collect a
worthy army sample which will later be used in a bid to save his home in an ongoing
perilous war with other civilisations. Naturally, as the most highly respected air troop,
he was selected to carry out this important mission.

Zipp’s abilities allow him to fly, crawl, and fight. Combat is something which involves
lots of elements and skills, such as his ability to wrap enemies up in the long,
drooping, silk-like material that drapes from his body, beating with his wings, stinging
with his pincer, charging etc. He doesn’t have any magical abilities.

Unit 76 – Flash for Computer Games - 2D Character Concept Profile
  Game genre, outline and objective:

The game is mostly platform – storyline based, however there are sections
inbetween which provide a more customizable, often simulating environment which
gives the impression that the user is really making the game their own. There are also
RPG elements in that skills are represented by statistics etc.

The objective of the game is to defeat, and gather the best species types available. At
the end of a few sublevels, users can combine the best attributes in order to produce
an ultimate creature. At the end of a level, the final creatures produced are brought
together into a small war to test their strength. After completing all the levels, there
is a final battle, where the user will finally get to see if their lineup is powerful
enough to defeat the ultimate opposition…
