The document summarizes Imogen Minto's experiments creating magazine covers and double page spreads in Photoshop. For the magazine cover, Imogen placed a photo of Camila Cabello on the background, added a quote from Cabello, and included other text and a barcode to make it look realistic. For the double page spread, Imogen placed Cabello's photo on one side and text on the other, making the first letter larger to make it more interesting visually. In her final product, Imogen plans to include techniques like placing photos behind or across text and using colorful backgrounds to make the double page spread more engaging.

product?
For my experiment I went onto Photoshop and selected on A4 to have a blank page. I then went onto
google to get an idea of what magazines look like like the way they’re laid out, to then get a photo of
the internet of my choice which I chose Camila Cabello who is a celebrity who sings. I placed that on
the background to create the cover of the magazine. I then wanted to make it look more realistic so I
went back onto google and searched more on what's on magazines like what they have on the front
cover. I found that they usually have sayings of what the celebrities have said so I googles what Camila
has said and there was a quote so I copied that and put that on the cover too, I placed it at the bottom
next to the barcode I also wanted to make the quote look handwritten to make it look like Camila
wrote it. I then wanted to add more text to the cover so I went back onto google and looked at more
magazines and collected more text and placed that on the left side as that was the brightest place and
easiest to read as the other side wasn’t big enough to fit text in. At the very end to make it look even
more realistic I adding a barcode to the bottom so it makes it look like you can buy the product that
was made. The tools I used were mainly the text box to write all the text out, also with the title I
wanted it to look like it was behind her but because the picture that has the celebrity on it had that
flowery background to it I couldn't move it to go behind her so I went on the razor tool and clicked on
the title so it knew what to delete when rubbing it out and removed half the letter P to make it look
like its behind her.
I feel that I will include the bit where if the background is with the model when it comes to doing mine
ill use the razor tool to make it look like its behind. Another thing that I might use is a made up quote
to make it look like it’s a real celebrity saying it as my model won’t be famous. Aldo will be using the
barcode at the bottom of the page to make it look like an actual magazine that you can buy.

• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product?
For my experiment I went onto Photoshop and selected on A3 and then rotated it to
make it landscaped. I then went onto google to get an idea of what double spread
pages look like like, to then get a photo of the internet of my choice which I chose
Camila Cabello again to make it look like the front cover and double spread are linked
together. I placed that on half of the page to create one side the picture of the model
and then the other side full of text. I wanted to make the T bigger to make it look
different and interesting to look at then it just being text which looks boring so I
thought I’d make it look less boring by making the T bigger.
For my final experiment I will include the picture to either be on one side of the page
or behind the text or even on both pages to make it look like its one big picture as with
this double spread it looks quite bland as its mostly white and a lot of text so if I
changed the background to maybe a different colour it might look more entertaining
to look at but it was just an experiment so when it comes to actually doing my product
It will look more entertaining and colourful.
