2. Process
For the process of the article and
layout of the ’exclusive interview’ I
used Photoshop to put the whole
double page spread together which I
found very helpful to make it look
more realistic. For the masthead I
used a range of fonts as I wanted the
name to be more personal towards
her so it is softer and more like she
actually wrote it herself. In the actual
article I made it very personal and all
about what Orla prefers as this means
that the reader might be more
influenced to copy her as its actually
what she is saying. For the photos I
tried to recreate almost like a
Instagram feed as this is likely to draw
my age range which was 16-20yrs as
the teens of this generation are very
caught up with the different social
medias I also decided to add the
Instagram icon and Orla’s username so
it becomes more personal again.
3. Process For my front cover of the magazine I
decided to use Photoshop to help create
this and I think that it really helped me to
create more of a realistic magazine cover
rather than the layout that I created on
PowerPoint.
I used a template of already existing of
the internet where I saw about what
headlines I should do. This helped me
figure out where to put everything layout
wise as it allowed me to experiment
about where I want to place it, from then
looking at other front covers I saw a lot
of the more professional ones had placed
the masthead behind the picture, I
attempted to recreate it so that you
could still read what the title actually said
as if I covered to much you might not be
able to read it or get confused what word
it is. To create this I cut out the top part
of the image then moved it onto a
different layer so that I could put that
specific part on top of the writing, I then
lined it up using the Photoshop
measurements so that you can not tell
that it is stuck on top of the writing itself.
