The target audience for the film are males aged 15-30 who enjoy football, fighting, and drinking. Extensive pre-production research including questionnaires was conducted to identify this target demographic. The research informed creative decisions like making the main characters 18 to relate to the target age group and including shots of drugs and fighting to appeal to the crime and action genres preferred by this audience.

2. Who are our target audience?
 The target audience for our film are primarily males between the ages of 15 and 30.
This is because our film includes characters who are around the age of 18 so it will
be a lot easier for the audience to connect to these characters if they are around a
similar age. Our target audience also are fans of Football, fighting and drinking.
These are essential to our target audience and was something that we made sure
was a crucial aspect to incorporate when creating our film. This is because these are
all things that go together in unison and are all apart of the lifestyle that our target
audience live.

3. Target audience research
 In order for us to find out our target audience we did extensive pre-
production research. These are a few examples of pie charts we made from
results from our questionnaire. These helped show us what genres our
target audience was interested in and also the main ages that would be
watching our film.

4. How we used the target audience
 By researching our target audience this allowed us to incorporate certain
things and improve our film by catering to a specific audience. For
example we made our characters around 18 years old to allow our target
audience to relate to the characters. We also included a small shot that
included ‘drugs’ (flour) in order to add some more to that crime genre as
well as the fighting. I believe we used this research well in order to appeal
to our target audience and that it had a great impact on the quality of our
film.
