2. Looking Back-Preliminary Task
In the preliminary task we focused on using the 180 degree rule and shot-reverse shot. Both of which
are relatively simple to do. We also used a match on action to show someone walking through a door.
These were all basic shots to get us started and use to using filming equipment.
3. Looking Back-Main task
In the main task in which we had to create the first two minutes of our film ‘A day aht’ in Sheff’.
When doing this we used much more editing and camera angles to make our film look as good as it
could be. We used a zoom and fade in these were different editing techniques which we didn’t do
within our preliminary task. We also used the things that we learnt from the preliminary task and used
them to better effect which helped our film.
4. Looking Back Overall
I believe that I have greatly improved at editing while doing both the preliminary and the
main task. At the beginning of the editing process I wasn’t sure what I was doing as I’d
never done any editing of any sorts. However as I did more and more I became more
confident with what I was doing.
