2. Target Audience
My target audience is both males and females aged 15 and up. From
my research by asking people I know it was mainly teenagers who
showed greater interest in my film opening. Some older people said
they would watch it but not as many. These results are not that
reliable though as I only asked 34 people. If I were to improve my
research I would ask more people with a even move verity of ages.
From this I found my more pacific target audience is teenagers. We
have included a male and female in our opening as this then attracts
both genders to watch it causing a greater target to aim for. My target
audience may also like films such as the hunger games, the road, I am
legend and the book of Eli as well this is because our audience will be
the same sort of people as our film is similar to these.

3. Classification category
During my research on classification category almost every post apocalyptic
film has rated between a 12A to 18 rating. During my film opening it would
have been clear that there may be strong language and violence later on in
the film even though the film opening did not contain any. However there
would be no sexual content so we rated our film a 15. we hope to get people
to watch our film in there late teens as they could possibly relate to this
because one day they could find them selves to be in this situation. To expand
our market we would also like to attract older people in there 30s, 40s and
50s as they could also possibly enjoy it and it would also make our film more
successful if more people watched it as well.

4. Our characters
We made our characters the same age as we wanted our
main audience to be but we still wanted people to watch
our film opening from the teenage years right up to
people in their 80’s. We do not though want people who
are under the age of 15 to watch it because of the
content. We went for a young character as appose to a
older one because he would probably be more likely to
survive (there for more believable) plus this also ties in
with our target audience. This role is normally played by
a middle aged man such as the main character in The
Book of ELI but we decided to change the normality of a
post apocalyptic film and make the survivor younger. Our
second character who also has survived the flood is a girl.
This is counter stereotyping as there is not many female
characters that survive in other post apocalyptic films, an
example of another film who have done this in there
movie is Zombie land as one of there main characters is a
female.

5. Interests
My target audience would be interested in what would happen if an
apocalypse were to occur, how people can survive after the flood, how this
happened and how they survived. They could also be interested in action and
thriller films as well. Further more a selection of the target audience may also
play video games such as the last of us or watch TV series such as the walking.
This audience for my film opening would be similar to a audience of other
post apocalyptic films as well. There is also emotion later on in the film so this
also may attract a more wider audience.
