2. Styles
What style I used for one of my videos is the
documentary / interview style. This was to make sure
that the audience gets to see who is behind the
company this means that the customer feels like
they're buying off a person rather than buying off a big
company. This was one off the key elements my client
wanted for the shoot. To make sure there's that
personal touch to each customer that uses the
company.
Other style that was used was more of an art style
showing off the product with this they could show the
video to bigger corporate company's showing more of
the product off than anything else. With an voice over
talking about the company and what they do.
3. Context and Characteristics
What my work does it it gets to the point of what the
use of the video is for each video.
With the art like video for corporate company's and the
interview style one for the more casual audience that
are just looking to buy the products for personal events.
Having this my main intention for the work and what the
client wanted.
The characteristics of the interview like advert is that
the customers can see more of the client intend of
always just being the products she sells. This give this
video more of a personal feel to it.
The other video was more advertising what the
company sells this gave it more of a serious
characteristic showing the main things that are the
company's strong points.
4. Comparison
Comparing both of my pieces to other
interview like advertisements. One of
the interviews I've looked at before
that was “the making of 76” where it
showed the development of the
product and the interview with the
staff an head designers. I did this
style too because it gave more of a
style that shows the company is run
more by people than just being a cold
faced company.
With this style it means the costumer
can trust the company more due to it
having a familiar face that is seen
and that you can imagine running the
company.
5. Strengths
Making my product suit what my client
wanted:
Changing how my product looked and what
was said in it to appeal to my client. With what
they wanted me to do.
Making two products:
Having a variety of products with different style
to advertise to different type of audience/
customers.
Filming and secdualing:
getting a lot of my filming done early therefor
in the future being able to change what I need
easier and with less hassle of a deadline.
6. Weaknesses
Written and planning work
Due to filming early I had to do all the
planning documents later on after filming
and with the extra filming on top of that I
mixed up the secducal I had planned.
Extra filming
Not knowing what to expect when filming a
client video and filming products I found it
quite hard to get into the swing of thing while
filming. As well as what to film.
7. Action plan
For future reference I’ll make a risk
assessment sheet pre made and I can only
add to t for future projects determining on
what they are. With this it means I can save
so much time on pre production and will aid a
lot in filming. Reducing production time by
quite abit.
Another thing ill take from this is looking more
at previous products even if they're not of the
same company. Trying to take something
from somewhere or anywhere seeing how
that can aid me.
