I studiedatTadcaster Grammar school before IstartedYork College.Mymainintentionsafter
finishingmyGCSEswhere to start somewhatof adrama course.Althoughafterthe gradesidgot
back doingmediaanddrama at an A level wasn’tanoptionbecause of myfailedEnglishlanguageat
the time.Sofor the year before movingontolevel 3mediaIdecidedtodothe lvl 2 mediacourse
because itwouldmeanIcouldstill domy drama outside of college thatIdid,thereforhavinga
balance inbothareas.
In myGCSE the closestIgot to mediawasfilmingdramarehearsalsandfinal products.Onlyother
filmingIdidbefore college wasmydramaclassoutside of school (PQA) thatallowedme to
experimentwithfilmsandtryandmake our own. Most of these where posted onthe PQA York
website orYouTube channels.ThisiswhymediawasapickwhenI wentto college becausethe idea
behindworkinginthatindustryinterestedme andthat’swhyI wantedtocontinue withmedia.
Aftermy1st yearof level 3mediaIwant to continue makingshortfilmsandgoingmore indepth
intothemthat’swhythat will be myspecialistsubjectinmy2nd year.Hopefullymakinghigher
qualityfilms Icanput on myCV and YouTube channel.ThereforhavingaLaunchpadof content
readyfor wenI wantto go to uni and show off whatI can make. If I was goingto uni I wouldlike to
studya filmor mediatopicbecause it’swhatI've decidedtospecialize inandit’swhatIwant to
committo inthe longterm.
What I've learntstudyinginyear3 comparedtoanythingelse isthe amountof workone personhas
to put inbehindthe scenes,tomake awhole productionwork.SohavingthisIntel alreadymeans
whenitcomesto nextyearwhenI wantto specialize inthissubjectthismeansIcan planaheadmy
ideasonthe project.Meaningif I have scriptsand ideasat the readyI save time inproductionto
make betterqualityfilms.Thereformakingbetterfilmswill meanhavingabetterchance of being
knownforgood qualitycontentaswell asgoodknow how on how to use the equipmentalready.
Thereforhopefullymakingme agoodcandidate forthe course I want.
Well inthe future I wantto be able to get intouniversityandstudythe subjectsIwantto. I wantto
continue makingshortfilmsinthe future tocome anduploadthemto my YouTube.Althoughone of
the mainthingsI reallywantto dois voice acting.
As muchas doinga subjectthat requiresalotof actinginthe 1st place voice actinghas alwaysbeen
a real big interestof mine afterplayingthe game bioshockinfiniteandthe motionandvoice capture
of JamesSpaderasUltron. The ideaof voicinga character that isn'treal and has somewhatpower
eventhoughyoumaynot see theirface.SomethingthatIreallywanttodo and somethingIenjoy
doing.Ifeel like doingamediacourse will openupopportunity'stodosomethinglike this.Withalot
of the charactershavinga big effectonthe industrynow Ifeel like there will be aneedformore
people likethisasfilmsbecome more motioncapture andanimated.
Outside collegeforabout12 yearsstartingin2005-2017 attendingdramaschoolsinmy spare time
finishingatPQA in late 2017.
I alsodidwork experience fornestle overthe summerwhere Iaidedinmakingsocial mediaposts
and workingwiththere teamtomake advertisementsandsocial mediacontent.Aswell asanalyses
howconsumersrespondedtothese products.Thiswasmainlybasedroundthe chocolate sideof
nestle.Withmostof mycontentpostedonthe face bookand Instagramas well asmy ideasputon
the drawingboredforfuture reference.Thiswasall done while Iwasworkingasa bartenderat my
local pubtoo. As well asI have a YouTube channel where Imake contentsuchas short filmsand
gamingvideosthataverage about30-40 viewseach.These usuallytake aboutamonthto make with
reallynoconstantuploadsecdual.
The reasonI want to go to universityistomove onandtake the nextbigstepincontentcreation.
Goingto universitywill helpme inthisandgive me the knowledge touse myskillsinaveryhigh
level industry.There forinthe future employerswill have andeasychoice inpickingme overothers
due to my skill level andknowledge of film, productionaswell asmyattitude towardsitthatall have
beenlearntviaa university.

I studiedatTadcaster Grammar school before IstartedYork College.Mymainintentionsafter finishingmyGCSEswhere to start somewhatof adrama course.Althoughafterthe gradesidgot back doingmediaanddrama at an A level wasn’tanoptionbecause of myfailedEnglishlanguageat the time.Sofor the year before movingontolevel 3mediaIdecidedtodothe lvl 2 mediacourse because itwouldmeanIcouldstill domy drama outside of college thatIdid,thereforhavinga balance inbothareas. In myGCSE the closestIgot to mediawasfilmingdramarehearsalsandfinal products.Onlyother filmingIdidbefore college wasmydramaclassoutside of school (PQA) thatallowedme to experimentwithfilmsandtryandmake our own. Most of these where posted onthe PQA York website orYouTube channels.ThisiswhymediawasapickwhenI wentto college becausethe idea behindworkinginthatindustryinterestedme andthat’swhyI wantedtocontinue withmedia. Aftermy1st yearof level 3mediaIwant to continue makingshortfilmsandgoingmore indepth intothemthat’swhythat will be myspecialistsubjectinmy2nd year.Hopefullymakinghigher qualityfilms Icanput on myCV and YouTube channel.ThereforhavingaLaunchpadof content readyfor wenI wantto go to uni and show off whatI can make. If I was goingto uni I wouldlike to studya filmor mediatopicbecause it’swhatI've decidedtospecialize inandit’swhatIwant to committo inthe longterm. The ideaof voicinga character that isn'treal and has somewhatpower eventhoughyoumaynot see theirface.SomethingthatIreallywanttodo and somethingIenjoy doing.Ifeel like doingamediacourse will openupopportunity'stodosomethinglike this.Withalot of the charactershavinga big effectonthe industrynow Ifeel like there will be aneedformore people likethisasfilmsbecome more motioncapture andanimated.

The reasonI want to go to universityistomove onandtake the nextbigstepincontentcreation. Goingto universitywill helpme inthisandgive me the knowledge touse myskillsinaveryhigh level industry.There forinthe future employerswill have andeasychoice inpickingme overothers due to my skill level andknowledge of film, productionaswell asmyattitude towardsitthatall have beenlearntviaa university.
