2. BRAND
IDENTITY
Brand Identity refers to the way in which a brand is
portrayed to the audience. They are features of the
brand that can are consistent and allow an audience
to relate the product to the brand.
These are vital elements to any product because an
audience need to be able to identify with a brand
through many features like a slogan or logo that is
easy to remember.
By having brand guidelines, it allows me to stick to a
theme through my video, digipack and advert so that
my target audience can relate them to one another
without getting confused as to whether they’re part of
the same company or not.
3. THE LOGO
The logo is an element that instantly lets the audience link the
artist and genre of the video to the brand. A logo tends to be
one of the things an audience keep in their minds when they
are trying to match a product to the brand it comes from.
I’ve chosen to use a pretty yet simple font which relates to my
artist, Astrid S, who is an Indie Pop artist because I want it to
reflect the tone of her music which is quite calming alongside
her videos that often feature lots of pretty scenic views in a
variety of locations.
I believe that sticking to one colour font might be quite hard for
the logo seeing as the background photos will vary throughout
my digipack and advert so the colouring of the text is
dependent on how light or dark the background is. The darker
the background the lighter the text and vice versa.
4. FONT
CHOICES
Picking the correct font is one of the most important factors
to any brand as without a nice, legible font nobody will be
interested in your brand.
I’ve got a 3 fonts that I’m deciding between which I will
decide between as soon as I have chosen my final advert
and digipack photographs. I think they all link to my artist
and genre successfully and are legible.
5. COLOUR
SCHEME
Colour schemes are yet another vital factor to a successful
brand and I think colours are a thing I should throughly think
about before producing any of my main products. I’m aiming for
my colour scheme to be subtle but also link alongside my artist
and my genre of Indie Pop. My colour scheme will be the main
way my target audience will be able to identify the link that my
video, digipack and advert has. My video has a nature theme
with quite a lot of different scenic shots therefore I think my
colours will stick to greens but with some orange tones for the
leaves.
