1. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
Photoshop
I have learnt a number of things to do on Photoshop to make my product look better.
Pictures- Photoshop has allowed me to change the size of my image and rotate the image in
any way I want. The eraser tool has allowed me to take the background out of my picture
zoom right in to get rid of the background between my models hair and fingers, etc.
Font- On Photoshop I have learnt how to change the font style, size and colour. There are a
variety of fonts to use and plenty of them fit into my music magazine category but I decided
to download one instead. And that is also another thing I learnt how to do, download images
and open them into Photoshop.
Cameras
I have learnt how to take a ‘good’ picture to make my magazine look better. I learnt when
and when not to use flash, when to take a portrait picture and how far away I should be from
the model or object to make it a nice, clear/good quality picture. I used technology to gain
and manipulate my images.
Technology has allowed me to research different music magazines and has also allowedme
to research different fonts that I could have used. It has allowed me to get an insight into the
deconstructions of magazines.
