2. Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the
progression from it to the full product?
After I finished my music magazine I looked back at my school based magazine, my preliminary
task. Looking between the two I can see the progression I have made. Making the school
magazine and using Photoshop wasn’t that new as I had used it in year 10 but I had fully forgot
how to use it, what to press to do what I wanted.
Throughout the process of making my new magazine I learnt how to use all different kinds of
tools. One being the eraser tool to get rid of the background of a picture, another being how to
download fonts on to the page and the last one but not actually the last one just the last one I'm
going to talk about is how to make the pictures bigger and how to rotate them all with a click of
two buttons at the same time Ctrl+t.
On my preliminary task we were all told it had to be a school based magazine but for the second
magazine it had to be a music magazine but it could be any sort of much genre/s that you
wanted so we had more choice of what to do. Also, on my preliminary task the text to image ratio
was very low but on my second task I think I have balanced them out equally.
