This PowerPoint shows the plan I had for my music magazine

2. The genre of music I have chosen for my music magazine is 1980’s
pop music. This is because the 80’s was a huge decade for breaking
pop stars. Also, because it includes some of the most famous singers
and groups around the world which includes Michael Jackson, Prince,
Cyndi Lauper, Madonna, etc.
The 1980’s were all about big, bright, neon colours, so in my magazine I am
hoping I will get some of them colours in Photoshop as that is what I will be
using to edit and make my front cover and contents page.
I have chosen to use Madonna as an inspiration for my front cover as I am
using a girl for my main image and Madonna’s fashion in the 80’s was
unique and everyone wanted to be like her, but also because she fits in with
my music genre. I could have used Cyndi Lauper but I felt as though she
was a bit ‘much’, whereas Madonna was toned down but still ‘out there’.
Also, I could have used a boy and try have replicated Prince’s or Michael
Jackson’s look, but I am still set on Madonna. These are some of the
pictures I will be using to get ideas from:

3. Front Cover
This is my front cover and it is just a basic
layout of how I want it to look like. It may
change in the process if I am not happy with
the set out or if I want to add more in.
We will come up with what she wears and
what makeup to do on the day.

took for the front cover.

4. I will edit the picture I use by using Photoshop
and I will erase all the background. The
picture/s with a * next to them are the ones I
am thinking of using.

5. Contents Page
This is a basic rough layout for my contents
page. This will not be my end product as I may
make changes throughout the process.
I like these colours as they go with my theme of
magazine, pop rock.

throughout this magazine so the model on
my front cover will be included on here and
the double page spread as well.
I will use three or more people on the
contents page as well and their pictures are

7. On the slide before it was a layout for my double page spread
and like I said before for my front cover and contents page,
it’s just a rough layout and will be likely that it wont be the
end product.

9. I took the pictures for my magazine during the school
day, all apart from one which was taken at home and
when we were both free.
