HOMOPHONE
WHAT IS HOMOPHONE?
A homophone is a word that is
pronounced the same (to varying
extent) as another word but differs in
meaning. A homophone may also differ
in spelling.
HOMOPHONE MEANING WITH
EXAMPLE
 Ate is the past form
of ‘eat’.
EXAMPLE
“I ate a large size
burger.”
 Eight is a number
which comes after
seven and before
nine.
