5. Mood Board Analysis
Is there any repetition in the images you have collected?
Repeated colours/images styles/fonts/tone/mood
• I have repeated colours throughout my mood board- grey,
white and black. I have used different tones for the different
fashion brands/fashion styles. My fashion mood board is a
high end designer brands that do runways for their clothing.
Also it includes lifestyle photos and quotes such as flowers,
perfumes and food and drinks.
How will your mood board influence your final product?
• My mood board will influence my final product because it
will give me an idea on what kind of fashion magazine I am
doing. I am inspired and doing a similar magazine to The
Vogue.
6. Informal Proposal
Current Idea
Concept • Attractive headline: to get the attention it deserves, bigger than the rest of the text
so the reader knows which is the most important.
• Intro: captures the attention of the reader and a strong connection between the
headline and the main copy of the magazine.
• Main copy: represents the largest article of the article, first thing to start with
Type of products
you would make
• A page focused on the latest trends of the season.
• A section on beauty tips and tricks, suggesting how to look better and recommend
what products to use.
• Articles about influential people and celebrities in the fashion industry.
• Another section on health and care, find lifestyle advice and information about how
to keep a balanced diet.
What you will
need to make
them
• The best pictures, professional photos
• Pull quotes, very trendy; attractive fashion magazine design element
• Image captions, pieces of text that accompany and offer details about images
• Cover design, has to be attractive, most important part as it’s the first contact the
reader has with the product, has to be catchy
• Masthead has to be noticeable so the buyer knows clearly what they are looking at.
• Background picture, models, celebrities and fashion icon.
Audience My audience for my fashion magazine would be teenagers/students who are interested
in the latest fashion trends and the “World of fashion in 2020”
7. Choices
Discounted ideas Reasons for not choosing this
project
Film • Film storage takes up a lot of physical
space.
• Purchasing and developing a film is a
continuing cost.
Nature portfolio • Lack of ideas.
• Difficult to organize places to photograph
due to Covid restrictions.
