This document provides an 8-step guide for writing an ideal medical thesis: 1) Choose a clear and concise title, 2) Write an abstract that introduces the study topic, objectives, and background, 3) Include a methods section describing the setting, samples, inclusion/exclusion criteria, tools, and variables, 4) Analyze the data, 5) Present the results in text, tables, figures or graphs to illustrate the study aim, 6) Discuss the principal findings, strengths/weaknesses, conclusions, and questions for further research, 7) Note the study limitations, and 8) Provide complete references. Seeking guidance from a mentor is also recommended to write a high quality thesis that is conducted ethically.
