EF’s lesson plan template
The lesson plan should include the following components:
 Lesson title
 Teaching/learning context:
o Institution:(where the teacher is working)
o Resources: room, equipment,etc.
o Timetable fit: time for the lesson,how the lesson content is connected to the last and/or the next one.
o Materials: coursebookunit, photocopiesof pictures, realia, etc.
o Learners:level, age, number of learners, needs,motivation, learning styles; how the learners’
characteristics affectthe success of the lessonor what the teacher expectof them.
o Teacher:roles,methodologicalapproach, expertise…
 Aims
 Lesson procedures/lesson stages : include a detailed description of teacher (and learner) activities and
teaching techniques (eliciting, asking questions, error correcting,…) that help to realize the aims and
objectives at each stage, and estimated timing)
 References with all cited sources in the lesson plan.
 Appendices with all the materials (photocopies of the unit in the coursebook, visual aids,
homework, etc.) used for the lesson.

EF’s lesson plan template The lesson plan should include the following components:  Lesson title  Teaching/learning context: o Institution:(where the teacher is working) o Resources: room, equipment,etc. o Timetable fit: time for the lesson,how the lesson content is connected to the last and/or the next one. o Materials: coursebookunit, photocopiesof pictures, realia, etc. o Learners:level, age, number of learners, needs,motivation, learning styles; how the learners’ characteristics affectthe success of the lessonor what the teacher expectof them. o Teacher:roles,methodologicalapproach, expertise…  Aims  Lesson procedures/lesson stages : include a detailed description of teacher (and learner) activities and teaching techniques (eliciting, asking questions, error correcting,…) that help to realize the aims and objectives at each stage, and estimated timing)  References with all cited sources in the lesson plan.  Appendices with all the materials (photocopies of the unit in the coursebook, visual aids, homework, etc.) used for the lesson.
