LEARNING OBJECTIVES
To revise family members, types of families, adjectives, colours and
feelings.
To practice listening and reading macro-skills by playing a “Bingo” game.
WARM UP
We will begin the class by showing the students colourful pictures
about different types of families so as to revise the vocabulary
learnt in the previous class. (nuclear, blended, monoparental,
egalitarian and adoptive family)
FIRST ACTIVIY:
Type of interaction: Students and teacher.
Macro-skills: Speaking and writing.
Timing: 15 minutes.
Materials: piece of paper
DEVELOPMENT
Students will have to finish the activity that they started the
previous class about different types of families and then they will
have to check it all together with the teacher.
2. SECOND ACTIVIY:
Type of interaction: Teacher-students
Macro-skills: Listening and reading.
Timing: 25 minutes.
Materials: Bingo cards.
DEVELOPMENT
We will give the students bingo cards and they will have to listen to the
teacher and complete them.
At the same time of playing the game the teacher will be doing questions
such as:
Who are the members of a nuclear/egalitarian family?
Do you feel happy/sad today?
How many families are joined in a blended family?
How many cousins have you got?
Point at something…(brown, yellow, pink)
Mention a young/old family member
