4. Let’s get started.
We will divide this Ayah into 8 parts:
Part
#1
Allah, there is no God but He
The LIVING:
He was never dead at any point and He will never
experience death
Those who worship Idols, Saints, Humans, or
Science are worshiping things the non-living, or the
one that will eventually die.
The CARE-TAKER:
Some people don’t care about you.
Others care, but may not be able to
help you.
Allah (S) takes care of every
heartbeat and every breath of
5. Part
#2 He doesn’t feel drowsy,
and He doesn’t sleep
All of us can be care takers, but we eventually get tired.
Eventually we need to sleep.
When you’re sleeping you cant care for what’s around you.
A security guard who falls asleep puts the building in danger.
A driver who falls asleep at the wheels puts himself at risk for an
accident.
We can’t take care of everything all the time.
Allah isTHE CARETAKER – Cells, Humans, Plants, Animals, Jinn,
Angels…
7. Part
#4
Allah fast forwards to the Day of Judgment when we will
stand in front of Him with our excuses. It’s like a court scene
where the lawyer begs for leniency. Allah is saying that
nobody will be able to speak on our behalf unless Allah allows
it.
Nobody will receiveVIP treatment because of what they owned on Earth
or because of their popularity or status, or family name.
Who dares to speak before Him except with
His permission?
Who will He allow to do this?
Idols?
Saints?
The rich people?
The Kings?
8. Part
#5
But in the Court of Allah, on the Day of Judgment, we will
receive real Justice.
Only Allah can be the most fair Judge because He knows the
ins and outs of our lives.
Everything that happens happens under his watch.
He knows our deepest thoughts, feelings, and our struggles.
He knows the strengths He gave us/the weaknesses within us.
He knows our past and present- each individual situation-
more than we know ourselves.
Judges try to serve justice. They try to judge fairly.
They can listen to witness testimony, study evidence, listen to the
recommendations of the lawyers, but they can’t possibly be 100% sure
of the scenario and everything that took place. They are limited. They
are human.
He knows their past and
present
Only He can judge fairly based on His all-encompassing
knowledge. No need for anyone to interfere and give a

#6
And they can’t begin to encompass even a little
of what He knows
Except what He allows
When you encompass something, you see it from all sides…surround it…
Sometimes we think we know everything there is to know about a situation.
War, poverty, sickness, catastrophy, death…
We see it with our own eyes, but with one perspective.
Allah sees these events from every perspectives- the ones you have no access
to.
You complain, but you don’t know what He knows.
You can’t even BEGIN to understand.
When you look at something, you’re seeing it from one point
of view.
You’re looking at a mountain, but you don’t know there’s a
waterfall on the other side until you go around.
10. Part
#7
A King can run a Kingdom,
but He cant’ keep track of
every conversation, every
bite each person eats, every
animal that gets hurt, every
little detail.
He can’t control or have
This part whereAllah describes His
KINGDOM.
HisThrone held the Skies
and Earth
Kursi means
Foundation…what holds
something up.
Allah’s throne is what holds
ALL OFTHIS UNIVERSE
together. We are dependent
on it.
Why is this Ayah named after theTHRONE?

11. Now try to imagine how GreatAllah is, if HisThrone alone
encompasses our Earth, and everything in the Skies, all the
planets, and stars, and galaxies. Hard to imagine.
Impossible to imagine.
How small are we in comparison? Yet Allah cares to zoom in
on us and be ourCare-Takers, like mentioned in Part 1 of
the Ayah!!
And Allah never gets tiring caring for it all….
Part
#8
And He doesn’t get tired guarding them. And He is the Highest, the Greatest.
We are baffled by the size of this Universe….Scientists are amazed, but Allah
says here that guarding it all takes no effort from Him.
Studying Science should change us. Why are we humbled by the amazing
Universe around us, but not humbled by the One who Created and Cares for it??
