these stones you carve with your own hands?”
“Don’t be arrogant and oppressive to those who
are poor and weak”

“This man is possessed by Jinn. Don’t listen to him”
“Punishment can’t come to us.
We are too powerful. Who’s more powerful than us?!”
They responded with a challenge:
َينِقِدـَّصال َنِم َنتُك نِإ َآنُدِعَت اَمِب َانِتْأَف﴿

5. The Punishment of the People:
First, they were punished with a drought.
They would pray to their idols for rain.
P. Hud told them to ask forgiveness
and return to Allah.
They refused.
Then they saw dark clouds advancing,
and started celebrating because they expected rain.
6. P. Hud told them the clouds were carrying a
punishment from Allah.
They were hit by a strong freezing
windstorm that lasted 8 days and 7 night
and destroyed everything.
All their strength and tall buildings could not
save them from the promise of Allah.
