Luqman the wise gave his son many advices in the Holy Quran in Surat Luqman. This powerpoint discusses his advice about knowing Allah's might. Allah sees, hears and knows all that we do.

Luqman
the Wise- part 3

2. ADVICE
#3:
llah tells us the story of Luqman’s
Advices to his son.
It means that He sees my every moment,
everything I do and how I do it.
Everything I Think in my head,
Every feeling I have,
The good and the bad…HE is keeping track of it all.
Before you think that this is scary, think about a
secrutity guard, a police man, a teacher, a parent-
they are all there to wactch over things.
They’re there to make sure everything is ok…
3. Imagine being in the situation of Prophet Yunus:
As far as the eye can see is water and you are in the middle of it.
In the middle of nothingness, pitch black darkness all around you.
You have no form of technology with you.
If you screamed, no one could hear you.
No one knows you are here or if you are even alive.
You are surrounded by all the creatures and beasts of the wide seas.
To make matters worse, a whale swallows you whole.
You are now inside the whale’s murky belly, surrounded by the remains of all the dead
creatures it has eaten.
A stench lurks around your nostrils as you struggle to stand straight while covered in its
saliva.
You can’t see anything.
Even if you were to somehow escape the belly of the whale, you would be in the
middle of the sea with nowhere to go and would most likely drown anyway.
Remember the story of P. Yunus (AS). He was in the belly of the whale in a dark place in the bottom of the
ocean, in the middle of the night.
Nobody could see or help him except Allah….He was watching over him even as the boat that threw
himoverboard was sailing away…
Story Time
4. Once Omar ibn Alkhattab (RA) was walking the streets
watching the people and their activities, He was the
Khalifa and wanted to test the Muslims to check on their
level of Iman….Similar to how a teacher asks you questions
to see how much you understand so she can help you learn
what you don’t know.
He found a young slave boy herding his master’s sheep.
Omar asked him: May I buy this sheep from you?
Boy: It’s not mine. My Master owns it.
Omar: It’s ok…nobody’s looking. Just sell it to me and tell your Master
that it was eaten by a wolf.
5. Another time, Omar Abn Al Khattab (RA) was walking in the city during
the night, checking if any families were in need. He was walking past a
run down home that was owned by a poor family. They sold milk for a
living. He heard the conversation of the mother and her daughter from
behind the wall.
The mother was telling the daughter:
Look how sometimes a child can teach the parent something.
Omar was so impressed by the girls’ Iman, he went back home and told his
son to marry her…..
Mix the milk
with some
water so we
can make
money.
Mom, don’t you
know that the
Khalifa warned us
not to do that?
Yes, but
Omar can’t
see us now.
If Omar
can’t see
us, the God
of Omar can
see us.
6. Think about the fall and all the leaves that cover the
ground…hundreds, thousands, millions….. If Allah (SWT)
knows the exact number of leaves on all the trees on Earth,
the exact number of blades of grass, the exact number of
stars in the galaxies, the exact number of droplets of
water….. Don’t you think he is aware of everything you do
and what others do to you?
You know the challenge where you have to guess how many
M&Ms there are in a jar? Those are hard, and everyone is just
guessing and trying to estimate in their head…
Imagine trying to guess how many atoms there are in our
bodies? Or how many snow flakes there are in a snow storm?
Before you sin because you think nobody is watc
7. What if I gave you a glass of water and
asked you how many water molecules
there are in it? In a filled bathtub? In a
swimming pool? In a lake? In an ocean? In
all the oceans combined???
Allah knows all of that.
So why do we think He doesn’t know what
w do ?
What we do when we’re alone, in our
rooms?
Or when our parents aren’t home?
He wont know what my eyes see and what
8. A man who used to sin a lot, once asked a sheikh:
How can I stop disobeying Allah? Ive tried
everything!
Sheikh: It’s ok, disobey Him, but don’t’ eat from
His food.
But what will I eat? All food is from Him
Sheikh: Disobey Him but don’t live on His land
But where will I live? All the land belongs to Him
Sheikh: Disobey Him, but only do it in a place
where He can’t see you.
But He can see everywhere
Sheikh: Exactly!
He was making him recognize that we should be
9. When someone owns a store, or a bank,
they place security cameras & alarms
everywhere to make sure ppl don’t steal
anything….
However, even cameras can’t cover every
single corner….
Think about MOVIES where they show you
bank robbers shooting or spray painting
camera. Or wearing masks and hoodies so
they can’t be recognized. …… Cameras
can’t record EVERYTHING.
Muslims have their own built-in alarms in
their heads & hearts….
Allah has His own form of security cameras
: the Angels who record everything we do.
10. AYATUL KURSI
The Verse of the Throne
Let’s study
Ayatul Kursi in
depth
to learn more
about Allah’s
might.
11. Let’s get started.
We will divide this Ayah into 8 parts:
Part
#1
Allah, there is no God but He
The LIVING:
He was never dead at any point and He will
never experience death
Those who worship Idols, Saints, Humans, or
Science are worshiping things the non-living, or
the one that will eventually die.
The CARE-TAKER:
Some people don’t care about you.
Others care, but may not be able
to help you.
Allah (S) takes care of every
heartbeat and every breath
12. Part
#2 He doesn’t feel drowsy,
and He doesn’t sleep
All of us can be care takers, but we eventually get tired.
Eventually we need to sleep.
When you’re sleeping you cant care for what’s around you.
A security guard who falls asleep puts the building in
danger.
A driver who falls asleep at the wheels puts himself at risk
for an accident.
We can’t take care of everything all the time.
Allah is THE CARETAKER – Cells, Humans, Plants, Animals,
14. Part
#4
Allah fast forwards to the Day of Judgment when we
will stand in front of Him with our excuses. It’s like a
court scene where the lawyer begs for leniency. Allah is
saying that nobody will be able to speak on our behalf
unless Allah allows it.
Nobody will receive VIP treatment because of what they owned on
Earth or because of their popularity or status, or family name.
Who dares to speak before Him except
with His permission?
Who will He allow to do this?
Idols?
Saints?
The rich people?
The Kings?
15. Part
#5
But in the Court of Allah, on the Day of Judgment, we
will receive real Justice.
Only Allah can be the most fair Judge because He knows
the ins and outs of our lives.
Everything that happens happens under his watch.
He knows our deepest thoughts, feelings, and our
struggles.
He knows the strengths He gave us/the weaknesses
within us.
He knows our past and present- each individual
Judges try to serve justice. They try to judge fairly.
They can listen to witness testimony, study evidence, listen to
the recommendations of the lawyers, but they can’t possibly be
100% sure of the scenario and everything that took place. They
are limited. They are human.
He knows their past and
present
Only He can judge fairly based on His all-encompassing
knowledge. No need for anyone to interfere and give a
16. Part
#6
And they can’t begin to encompass even a little
of what He knows
Except what He allows
When you encompass something, you see it from all sides…surround
it…
Sometimes we think we know everything there is to know about a
situation.
War, poverty, sickness, catastrophe, death…
We see it with our own eyes, but with one perspective.
Allah sees these events from every perspectives- the ones you have no
access to.
You complain, but you don’t know what He knows.
When you look at something, you’re seeing it from one
point of view.
You’re looking at a mountain, but you don’t know
there’s a waterfall on the other side until you go around.
17. Part
#7
A King can run a Kingdom,
but He cant’ keep track of
every conversation, every
bite each person eats,
every animal that gets
hurt, every little detail.
He can’t control or have
This part where Allah describes His
KINGDOM.
His Throne held the Skies
and Earth
Kursi means
Foundation…what holds
something up.
Allah’s throne is what
holds ALL OF THIS
UNIVERSE together. We are
dependent on it.
Why is this Ayah named after the THRON

18. Now try to imagine how Great Allah is, if His Throne
alone encompasses our Earth, and everything in the
Skies, all the planets, and stars, and galaxies. Hard to
imagine. Impossible to imagine.
How small are we in comparison? Yet Allah cares to
zoom in on us and be our Care-Takers, like mentioned
in Part 1 of the Ayah!!
And Allah never gets tiring caring for it all….
Part
#8
And He doesn’t get tired guarding them.
And He is the Highest, the Greatest.
We are baffled by the size of this Universe….Scientists are amazed, but
Allah says here that guarding it all takes no effort from Him.
Studying Science should change us. Why are we humbled by the
amazing Universe around us, but not humbled by the One who Created
