Part of Thomson East Coast Line (TEL) T252 project which involve in Documentation (Installation
Procedure write up, PMF and construction drawing), Coordination, Installation and
Testing Signalling equipment and system.
Main Job Responsibilities
Site Co-ordination
Overall in charge for TEL stage 3 and Mandai Depot. Oversee ERL Depot.
Responsible for coordinating with consultant (Parson Brinckerhoff) for ERL Depot.
Responsible for co-ordinating the Signalling Interface with the Civil Contractor for
stations, tunnels and Depots that under my charge for all the cable routing and
equipments needed to be installed for Signalling system.
Attended Civil/System Wide Contractor (CWC & SWC) meetings and working session
to resolve interfacing issues involving Signalling equipment.
Technical Responsibilities
To write on technical documents (Installation Procedure) and typical mounting detail
drawing.
Plan and review Equipment Layout and Routing Drawing (ELARD). Prepare drawings
and documents for submission to LTA.
Review and comment Civil/System Wide Contractor (CWC & SWC) drawings to ensure
that all Signalling requirements are incorporated and ensure in accordance to ELARD. To
ensure that all comments raised and are satisfactorily closed-out.
Attend CIP meeting and to ensure that installation activities are incorporate with
reference to the Baseline programme. To monitor and report any changes in the CIP
timescales (e.g. delays, to start later date) to Installation Manager and Project Manager.
Other Responsibilities
2. To assist the new Entrants by departing my previous knowledge and experience in order
to familarise them with the Signalling & PSD Systems.
To evaluate design for changes given by LTA and Main contactor (Alstom). e.g. change
in track alignment and architecture layout in station.
From Aug 2011 to Aug 2013
Part of Downtown Line (DTL) project team which involve in Coordination, Installation and
Testing Signalling equipment and system.
Main Job Responsibilties
Site Co-ordination
Responsible for co-ordinating the Signalling Interface with the Civil Contractor for
stations and tunnels that under my charge for all the cable routing and equipment needed
to be installed for Signalling system.
Attended Civil/System Wide Contractor (CWC & SWC) meetings and resolve interfacing
issues at site during the installation of Signalling equipment and keep the Project
Manager and Main contractor (Invensys Rail Group) updated on any relevant issues.
To attend Site Inspections for Signalling related works (casting inspections, point
machine setting up, cable laying etc). To prepare progress reports relating to site
activities.
Technical Responsibilities
To review and comment on all technical documents, Civil/System Wide Contractor
(CWC & SWC) and drawings to ensure that all Signalling requirements are realized and
ensure it accordance to design specification. To ensure that all comments raised and are
satisfactorily closed-out.
To monitor installation progress and provide clear and concise reports. To monitor the
CIP’s, 4WRP and Baseline programme to ensure installation activities are undertaken
within the agreed timescales. To report any slippage in the aforesaid to the PM.
To plan and supervise Signalling Equipment Installation in station and tunnel for DTL 1,
Kim Chuan Depot Test Track and Tai Seng Facility Building
To plan and carry out Defect listing activities with the LTA and Operator. To ensure that
the Defects comments are detailed, clear and concise with the respective chainage being
recorded. To ensure that the Defects are closed accordingly.
3. To carry out Signalling Testing activities (STC, T&C, ITC) when required.
To carry out and ensure that all Testing Documentation has been fully signed-off,
collated and ready for submission to LTA upon completion.
To highlight to the Overall In Charge and PM any anomalies found during installation,
testing and to follow through the aforesaid anomalies with the Sub Contractor to
satisfactory closure.
To ensure that all Signalling Installation and Testing activities (including ITC) are
completed accordance to schedule baseline programme prior to Train Test Running.
To attend monthly Planned General Inspections (PGI) at site with LTA.
