plot), utilities, control and automation and electrical infrastructure upgrade. The new facility have been operated as a
single unit from the centralized control room at Amal steam plant and monitored from NRPS, Marmul CR and coastal
CCR via PDO LAN. This project have been installed a new integrated process automation system for the control,
safeguarding and monitoring of new facilities. Yokogawa FCS systemproviding single window operator interface to the
entire facility. The safeguarding function has been implemented (IPS) separate from the process control system(FCS).
The IPS has been interfaced with FCS to provide shutdown and safety status information to the operator.
Duties and responsibilities
Instrumentation engineer has been responsible for the whole installation of panels, systems,instruments and cables and
to ensure that adequate resources are available for completing the installation work successfully. He is respo nsible for
maintaining the day by day progress report and to co-ordinate with construction teamfor future activities.
Safety and quality are the main concern before and throughout executing any project. As a Quality inspector it is my
responsibility to make sure that all construction activities are carried out as per the specifications, procedures and
