Job/ Position Summary (Medium voltage “13.8 KV” ,low voltage”400 V”, lighting, DC , UPS, low current
and control)
Conducting quality assurance to get sure of the effectiveness of quality control methods used “electrical inspection
requests forms, design drawings, shop drawings ; field inspection of electrical works “preventive and corrective
actions” ; checking electrical work inspection requests WIRs at initiation to match the design drawings, shop
drawings and work location(axis, construction joint area, level …etc.),transferring WIRs after being checked to
QA/QC ABCD(main contractor) to be handed over to DAR consultant afterwards, responding to DAR consultant notes
before and after the inspection is carried out ; site inspection with QA/QC SBG-ABCD (main contractor) and DAR
consultant; scanning finished WIRs and forwarding to construction team via our electrical section head, keeping data
base and records of all electrical WIRs before and after finishing them ,supporting site E/M and QA/QC teams
technically .

(Detailed description)
The senior electrical engineer Tariq Ghareb is
responsible of/for/to perform the followings:
1. All the description below for quality assurance/quality control
methods ,electrical works and work inspection requests WIRs
comprises Medium voltage “13.8 KV” systems ,low oltage”400
V” systems ,lighting, DC systems, UPS systems, low
current and control systems (first fix, second fix and third fix)
2. Ensure quality control methods used are effective and the most
appropriate for the project and in accordance with Standard inspection
Procedures used internationally including ISO, NEMA, NEC, NESC,
OSHA, Saudi electrical code) .
3. Ensure compliance of works with the Saudi electrical code and/or
national electrical code NEC.
4. Coordination for and visiting site works to have general ideas for the
progress of work (electrical ,mechanical and civil works).
5. Checking latest design drawings and shop drawings before site
inspection
6. Carry out site inspection visits to check, verify electrical site works to
take preventive action and instruct site to execute the appropriate
measures according to the Saudi electrical code and/ornational electrical
code NEC
7. Carry out site inspection visits to check, verify electrical site works to
take corrective action if necessary and instruct site to execute the
appropriate measures and solutions according to the Saudi electrical code
and/ornational electrical code NEC
8. Checking the electrical work inspection requests WIRs issued by site
team on ORACLE system and validate them if OK and reject them for
further remarks if not OK
9. Checking all various elements of Electrical work inspection requests
WIRs submitted by site team to validate them (location, axis, level, area,
Construction joint, work activity ,work element, description of work,
drawings and their revisions if they match work and if they are latest or

10. Submitting electrical work inspection requests WIRs to QA/QC SBG-
ABCD(main contractor)after validation and co-validate them
11. Coordination with QA/QC SBG-ABCD (main contractor) for further
processing of electrical work inspection requests WIRs to DAR
consultant
12. Conduction of electrical site inspections before DAR consultant does
and reporting to site for any inconvenience or remarks
13. Conduction of electrical site inspections togetherwith DAR consultant
and QA/QC SBG-ABCD (main contractor)
14. Prepare a database for all finished electrical work inspection requests
WIRS and passing afterwards to construction team via electrical section
head.
15. Keeping a Record of all electrical work inspection requests WIRs
(approved & rejected)
16. Coordination with site team about remarks to be followed during
execution of all electrical works.
17. Reviewing updated electrical Standards & Specifications and Quality
Control (QC) procedures to keep in line with any updates ornew remarks
18. Supervising work inspection requests WIRs LOGS with document
controllers
19. Helping the inspection engineers, foremen and technicians to upgrade
their knowledge, train them and keep them plugged in field wise and
technically.
20. Inspection of the electrical material submittal to check if there
is/are any discrepancies
21. Inspection of the contracts made with suppliers/subcontractors to
check if there is/are any discrepancies with the approved material
submittal
22. Inspection/Witnessing of the Testing and Commissioning of
electrical installations systems by suppliers/subcontractors
(Medium voltage MV, Low voltage LV and Low Current LC)
(examples HI POT tests ,Insulation Megger tests , earth resistance
tests, fire alarm system tests ,Data system test, BMS tests …..etc.
23. Helping site engineers in electrical installations through direction
of foremen and technicians to the best ways need to be adopted
in daily electrical works.
24. Coordination with other disciplines (architectural, mechanical, civil
,structure and formworks in order not to have paradoxes or
contradictions among different trades and disciplines .
