The document presents a project on wireless communication. It discusses the basics of wireless communication including definitions and block diagrams. It describes the four generations of wireless technology (1G to 4G) and their key features such as speed and capabilities. The document also discusses GSM architecture and different types of handovers. It provides an overview of radio frequency surveys and planning, including the tools, steps, and parameters involved.

Definition:
14. RF Survey : It is a process of identifying
the cell site location or feasibility of cell site
location & to get the basic knowledge of the site.
It is of 2 types :
1. Anchor Survey
a)Nominal survey
b)Blind survey
2.Sharing Survey
15. Tools Used For Survey :
i) GPS ii) Magnetic Compass iii) Digital Camera
v) Site Data / Reference latitude/ longitude
vi) Stationary
vii) R.F. Form
iv) Measuring Tape:
22. RF Planning :
The three steps are as follows
STEP 1:- PREPLANNING OF NETWORK
STEP 2:-SURVEY
STEP 3:-POST PLANNING OF NETWORK
23. Preplanning of network :
• In Preplanning of a network, sites are established on
the map in the software without taking into
consideration the feasibility of the sites.
38. POST PLANNING :
In post planning of the network the site is moved to the actual feasible location, all the
parameters are adjusted to give coverage to the targeted location in this case telcocrats
technologies as shown in the pictures.
