CHARADE
There are 5 phrases or signages to be given.
Each group must choose one representative to
act out the given phrases or signages. Every
group will receive a flag to raise, that will
symbolize you want to answer. The group who
can raise the flag first has the chance to get the
score.
ACTIVITY
#1: DOODLE CHALLENGE
DIRECTION: Each group will receive an image
on what to draw. When the given time will start,
every student need to draws on the other’s
back, while the next person tries to recreate that
image just by feeling the movement of the pen.
Analysis
DIRECTION: Each group will answer the assigned question and
choose a representative to share the group’s answer.
1. From the activity, what are your insights into creating or making a sign
or symbol?
2. How is it trying to influence you as a future employee or as a customer
in an establishment?
3. Based on the assigned image from the activity, are you willing to
follow? Why or Why not?
SETTING CLASSROOM STANDARDS
“Before we begin, friendly reminder;
• Practice your responsibility as a learner;
• You have to listen while teacher is having
a discussion;
• If you have a question and concerns just
raise your hand;
• Raise your hand also if you want to
answer the question, raise later on.
OBJECTIVE
• Identify the safety measures in the
workplace;
• Appreciate the Occupational
Safety and Health Standards; and
• Create a slogan about the
Occupational Safety and Health
Standards.
Safety in the Workplace
OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH
STANDARDS
(OSHS)
This was formulated in 1978 in compliance with the
constitutional mandate to safeguard the worker's social and
economic well-being as well as his physical safety and health.
The Department of Labor and Employment under Article 162 of
the Labor Code of the Philippines, the OSHS was promulgated
for the guidance and compliance of all concerned. This body of
rules and regulations is referred to as “Standard”
OSHS aims at;
To protect every working man and woman
against the dangers of injury, sickness or
death through safe and healthful working
conditions thereby assuring the
conservation of valuable manpower
resources.
The prevention of loss or damage to lives
and properties and consistent with national
development goals and with the same states
commitment for the total development of
every worker as a complete human being
List of some definitions you also have to understand:
1. “Employer” includes any person acting directly or indirectly in the
interest of an employer, in relation to an employee, and shall
include government-owned or controlled corporations and
institutions, as well as non-profit private institutions or
organizations.
2. “Employee” shall mean any person hired, permitted or suffered to
work by an employer.
3. “Safe or Safety” shall refer to the physical or environmental
conditions of work or employment, which substantially comply with
the provisions of these Standards.
4. “Health” shall connote a sound state of the body and mind of the
worker, which enables him to perform his job normally, in a state of
well-being.
5. “ Work Accident” shall mean an unplanned or unexpected occurrence that
may or may not result in personal injury, property damage, work stoppage or
interference or any combination thereof, which arises out of and in the course
of employment.
6. “Work Injury” shall mean any injury or occupational illness suffered by a
person, which arises out of or in the course of his employment.
7. “Workplace” means the office, premises or work site, where the workers
are habitually employed and shall include the office or place where the
workers, who have no fixed or definite work site, regularly report for
assignment in the course of their employment.
APPLICATION
Activity 2: Slogan Making
Directions: With the same group, you
have to create a slogan about
Occupational Safety and Health
Standards. Everyone must collaborate
with their groupmates to get the perfect
score of 40 points.

Take a picture of signages or symbol
that you will find in school,
establishment, or in your community.
Minimum of 5 pictures and maximum

  • 4. CHARADE There are 5 phrases or signages to be given. Each group must choose one representative to act out the given phrases or signages. Every group will receive a flag to raise, that will symbolize you want to answer. The group who can raise the flag first has the chance to get the score.
  • 5. ACTIVITY #1: DOODLE CHALLENGE DIRECTION: Each group will receive an image on what to draw. When the given time will start, every student need to draws on the other’s back, while the next person tries to recreate that image just by feeling the movement of the pen.
  • 6. Analysis DIRECTION: Each group will answer the assigned question and choose a representative to share the group’s answer. 1. From the activity, what are your insights into creating or making a sign or symbol? 2. How is it trying to influence you as a future employee or as a customer in an establishment? 3. Based on the assigned image from the activity, are you willing to follow? Why or Why not?

SETTING CLASSROOM STANDARDS “Before we begin, friendly reminder; • Practice your responsibility as a learner; • You have to listen while teacher is having a discussion; • If you have a question and concerns just raise your hand; • Raise your hand also if you want to answer the question, raise later on.
  • 8. OBJECTIVE • Identify the safety measures in the workplace; • Appreciate the Occupational Safety and Health Standards; and • Create a slogan about the Occupational Safety and Health Standards.

  • 10. OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARDS (OSHS) This was formulated in 1978 in compliance with the constitutional mandate to safeguard the worker's social and economic well-being as well as his physical safety and health. The Department of Labor and Employment under Article 162 of the Labor Code of the Philippines, the OSHS was promulgated for the guidance and compliance of all concerned. This body of rules and regulations is referred to as “Standard”
  • 11. OSHS aims at; To protect every working man and woman against the dangers of injury, sickness or death through safe and healthful working conditions thereby assuring the conservation of valuable manpower resources. The prevention of loss or damage to lives and properties and consistent with national development goals and with the same states commitment for the total development of every worker as a complete human being
  • 12. List of some definitions you also have to understand: 1. “Employer” includes any person acting directly or indirectly in the interest of an employer, in relation to an employee, and shall include government-owned or controlled corporations and institutions, as well as non-profit private institutions or organizations. 2. “Employee” shall mean any person hired, permitted or suffered to work by an employer. 3. “Safe or Safety” shall refer to the physical or environmental conditions of work or employment, which substantially comply with the provisions of these Standards. 4. “Health” shall connote a sound state of the body and mind of the worker, which enables him to perform his job normally, in a state of well-being.
  • 13. 5. “ Work Accident” shall mean an unplanned or unexpected occurrence that may or may not result in personal injury, property damage, work stoppage or interference or any combination thereof, which arises out of and in the course of employment. 6. “Work Injury” shall mean any injury or occupational illness suffered by a person, which arises out of or in the course of his employment. 7. “Workplace” means the office, premises or work site, where the workers are habitually employed and shall include the office or place where the workers, who have no fixed or definite work site, regularly report for assignment in the course of their employment.
  • 14. APPLICATION Activity 2: Slogan Making Directions: With the same group, you have to create a slogan about Occupational Safety and Health Standards. Everyone must collaborate with their groupmates to get the perfect score of 40 points.
