Characterization and the Kinetics of drying at the drying oven and with micro...Open Access Research Paper
The objective of this work is to contribute to valorization de Nephelium lappaceum by the characterization of kinetics of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum. The seeds were dehydrated until a constant mass respectively in a drying oven and a microwawe oven. The temperatures and the powers of drying are respectively: 50, 60 and 70°C and 140, 280 and 420 W. The results show that the curves of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum do not present a phase of constant kinetics. The coefficients of diffusion vary between 2.09.10-8 to 2.98. 10-8m-2/s in the interval of 50°C at 70°C and between 4.83×10-07 at 9.04×10-07 m-8/s for the powers going of 140 W with 420 W the relation between Arrhenius and a value of energy of activation of 16.49 kJ. mol-1 expressed the effect of the temperature on effective diffusivity.

UNDERSTANDING WHAT GREEN WASHING IS!.pdfJulietMogola
Many companies today use green washing to lure the public into thinking they are conserving the environment but in real sense they are doing more harm. There have been such several cases from very big companies here in Kenya and also globally. This ranges from various sectors from manufacturing and goes to consumer products. Educating people on greenwashing will enable people to make better choices based on their analysis and not on what they see on marketing sites.
"Understanding the Carbon Cycle: Processes, Human Impacts, and Strategies for...MMariSelvam4
The carbon cycle is a critical component of Earth's environmental system, governing the movement and transformation of carbon through various reservoirs, including the atmosphere, oceans, soil, and living organisms. This complex cycle involves several key processes such as photosynthesis, respiration, decomposition, and carbon sequestration, each contributing to the regulation of carbon levels on the planet.
Human activities, particularly fossil fuel combustion and deforestation, have significantly altered the natural carbon cycle, leading to increased atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations and driving climate change. Understanding the intricacies of the carbon cycle is essential for assessing the impacts of these changes and developing effective mitigation strategies.
By studying the carbon cycle, scientists can identify carbon sources and sinks, measure carbon fluxes, and predict future trends. This knowledge is crucial for crafting policies aimed at reducing carbon emissions, enhancing carbon storage, and promoting sustainable practices. The carbon cycle's interplay with climate systems, ecosystems, and human activities underscores its importance in maintaining a stable and healthy planet.
In-depth exploration of the carbon cycle reveals the delicate balance required to sustain life and the urgent need to address anthropogenic influences. Through research, education, and policy, we can work towards restoring equilibrium in the carbon cycle and ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come.

2. Overview
For this presentation I chose a virtual exhibit called Mexic Arte Museum. I loved how the website was very organized
and easy to find paintings. When I was researching other websites it was very confusing to view the images and
sometimes wouldn’t load correctly. I also loved how they inserted the images and added the description at the
bottom, just like a real museum. Fun fact, the museum is located in Austin, Texas. I definitely would love to see it
when I go down there for the summer.
3. Picture 1- Rosa Del Tepeyac
The painting is called Rosa Del Tepeyac by Amado Pena. The artist wanted
to create a graphic painting that described his culture during the Chicano
Civil Rights Movement.
4. Description, Analysis, Interpretation, and Evaluation
Description: The painting looks a lot more clearer compared to other artists painting. The lines are also very perfect and are bolded. On
the painting you can see grain once you zoom in, which is how you can tell the artist created it on a virtual platform.
Analysis: The artist wanted to create something that represented both Mexican and Yaqui. It was created in 1974. The style of form is
graphic and and bold colors. Which was on the painting, such as the bright red. He wanted to promote the multi racial and ethnic
heritage of latinos.
Interpretation: I am Mexican and the Virgin of Mary plays a huge part in our culture. We even celebrate her one day of the year, to give
thanks for all that she has done for us.
Evaluation: During the time it was made (1974), I can understand as to how it was successful. In my opinion nowadays thor are many
paintings that are out there, that look just as similar as Amado Pena.
5. Picture 2- Xoxhitl at Pan Am
The painting is called Xoxhitl at Pan Am by Raul
Valdez.
6. Description, Analysis, Interpretation, Evaluation
Description: The painting is called Xoxhitl at Pan Am, created by Raul Valdez in 1985. In the
description, is says how it is not a painting, is it a photograph that was taken.
Analysis: In the photograph there is a woman in the back who is holding her hands out of the Earth.
Behind her is a male with his arms out with handcuffs. In front of the moral is a child.
Interpretation: When looking at his moral, it could mean different things about the artist. In my
opinion, I feel chicano’s have a certain lifestyle they think they are going to be stuck in forever. In
reality they have different paths and can make a difference in this life.
Evaluation: Overall, I think the moral was very successful. It is one of those paintings everyone sees
on the street and snaps a quick photo.
7. Picture 3- Boda en Sanderson
The painting is called Boda en
Sanderson by Carolina Flores.
8. Description, Analysis, Interpretation, and Evaluation
Description: The painting is called Boda en Sanderson created by Carolina Flores in 1971. The
artist wanted to express the Mexican-American wedding.
Analysis: It is a oil canvas painting. In the painting there is no faces. It is a traditional
Mexican-American wedding. There are no bright colors, it is mostly dark/neutral colors.
Interpretation: I believe the artist was try to achieve what a traditional wedding looks. Very
elegant. The style reminds me of the weddings my family gets invited to. Only the people who
apart of the wedding, where certain colors and no one else and show up in those certain colors.
Evaluation: In my opinion, I believe the painting was successful and very beautiful. Not a lot of
people do morals for a traditional wedding.
9. Picture 4-
The painting is called Virgins of the Dia de
los Muertos Altar by M.A. Ambray
Gonzales.
10. Description, Analysis, Interpretation, and Evaluation
Description: The painting is called Virgins of the Dia de los Muertos Altar by M.A. Ambray Gonzales. It was created in 1981. It is
a moral of a mexican tradition that is celebrated November 1 every year. It’s to celebrate and remember our loved who have
passed.
Analysis: The painting doesn’t look like it was painted, looks more like color chalk. The painting has like a shine to it, as if a
spotlight was glaring at it. There are candles at the bottom of the table. The tablecloth almost look like a lady, which might be the
virgin of mary. There are picture frames of the loved ones who have passed.
Interpretation: The painting reminds me of my grandmother. Every year she sets up a moral, with flowers, candles, pictures of
those who have passed. Expect hers is a little different. Instead of the banner, she has a medium sized statue of the Virgin of Mary.
In front of it, she places a bible opened up a certain page, with a rosary right in the middle.
Evaluation: Overall, I think this painting is successful. It has such a beautiful meaning of tradition behind it. It felt like it was
made with passion.
11. Picture 5- Sleeping Bedroom
The painting is called Sleeping Bedroom by
Marta Sanchez.
12. Description, Analysis, Interpretation, and Evaluation
Description: The sleeping bedroom was created by Marta Sanchez in 1982. She created the painting to show others
was it was like to come to home as a chicano. In the painting it feels like the young female feels lonely.
Analysis: In the painting there are lines from the paint strokes. In the painting you can see the bedroom is in a small
tight space. From the looks of it, it could be a trailer home, since everything is wooden and small spaced.
Interpretation: The sleeping bedroom reminds me of my great grandparents. They used to live a regular sized trailer
home. Everything was wooden and small. Only two bedrooms and one of them reminded me of the painting.
Evaluation: In my opinion, I feel the painting was a successful art. There aren’t really many paintings like this out
there. It gives a sense of relation to the chicanos. During the movement, a lot of young people must've feel loneliness
and small compared to others because of the divertsy.
